Diana Holden was described as boring and plain; she had pale flawless skin, brown hair that was always tied back into a severe ponytail with bluntly cut ends. She had dull brown eyes that were hidden behind thick framed glasses, she always wore a blouse and cardigan, both buttoned up all the way, and neatly ironed khakis. She wore white socks and brown dress shoes.
Diana was somewhat quiet and only spoke as needed and always in an almost monotone, polite manner.
The thing nobody knew about her: she was secretly a member of The Normal, as was her painfully boring and generic parents, and their parents before them.
Diana walked to her locker and opened it in an almost robotic fashion, carefully checking that other students weren’t in range. Once she was assured of this she retrieved a slim gray phone from a hidden panel at the back.
It scanned her fingerprint and she spoke the password into it: “Flamingo Barrel”
She hated the passwords that changed daily, the brunette always wished they would use duller worlds like “Paperclip, “Orange”, or simply a string of numbers.
“Lima 1-16, this is Alpha 0-1. A Code Alpha Alpha 009 requires your immediate attention. Over.” The operator spoke.
Diana was surprised but didn’t show it, a Code Alpha Alpha 009 means that a Catalyst has been approved for Normalization Reeducation. She didn’t know why she would be qualified for such a priority mission but, as usual, she didn’t dare question orders from HQ.
“Alpha 0-1, this Lima 1-16. Acknowledged. Over.”She spoke plainly as her appearance.
“Sending over briefing along with target temporal and special location. Mission is now active. Over and out.” The voice spoke.
Diana’s phone receives the file on her target along with his photo and his coordinates in time and space.
Diana re-hid her phone and closed and locked her locked. Then proceeded out of the school to collect her equipments and transporter to the Catalyst’s location. She would just need to figure out how to retrieve the target.
