"I'm just giving you what you deserve. You will become an egg."
You try to brush off the powder the fairy just blew on you. As if it will make any difference. The transformation is already taking place. Its effects impact you as of now. Beneath the tingling of your skin, you can fell pressures forcing you to curl up into a tight ball. The sparkles vanish and you can feel yourself melting into your own body. It is the strangest sensation and you know soon the abilities of sight and speech shall be beyond your reach.
"An egg!?!? Of what?!!?" you scream, terrified of the answer.
"Surprise, surprise," the fairy says as if it was a big innocent joke. "You obviously need to learn to respect fay kind more. As well as female kind. Because your horror at being female shows that for you being one is like a humiliation and a punishment. Being reborn as one will get you to appreciate being one and get you to rethink your arrogance. And being a fay will teach you to like being one and not mistreat us. You'll be a female fay and hopefully your new parents will teach you well. Many fays are desperate to adopt so you'll find loving parents in no time, I'm sure."
"But... my memories...?" you ask, your mind still reeling with all the terrible information the fairy is giving you.
You can barely talk now too.
"You'll see," laughs the fairy. "Maybe you'll keep them, maybe not."
Your body becomes a mass of flesh, leaving you with only hearing and a slight sense of touch. The mass of flesh that was your body is now round, perfectly round and then you sense a hardening all around it, which increases fast and that stops once it's fully solid. A shell. You are now inside a shell. You are an egg but you don't even know what sort of egg you are, and what species. You can feel yourself being hoisted up, the fairy picking you up and carrying you... well, somewhere. Maybe you can guess where and to who. You really, really don’t want to grow up again as a fay creature, let alone a female! All for a stupid fairy that hold a grudge for nonsensical reasons and that felt stung for simple words! Alas, you felt drowsier and drowsier and soon you slumbered, still afraid of what your future will be like.
