As the elevator door opened, Felix was all smiles. Finally he would obtain the approval he craved from the Boss. The man's boasting of being the right hand of the Boss was hyperbole, the one who could most closely claim that title would be Casseus. If people were honest though, the Boss had no second. The man was an entity to himself, trusting no one but controlling all. Today would be different, Felix would earn the Bosses trust. Unfortunately he forgot about Jack and Kellie.
No sooner had Felix taken a step did he find himself set upon by the standard bearers of light and darkness. Mary Elise was whisked to safety, protected under an aura of light by Kellie Pendragon. The young woman's eyes glowing as her now white hair flowed majestically. With Mary now safe, Jack stepped forward. The son of the Demon Queens eyes glowing a deathly red as he sneered at his opponent. Felix, sensing the trouble he was in, now tried to attack.
The man never stood a chance. No sooner did his ring hand flinch, did Jack now use his magic to wrench it from his body. Felix screamed, watching as his dismembered hand was now turned into a bloody paste, the rings floating before him before returning to Jack. "What was that about being the right hand of the Boss," Jack sneered. Felix's mind was frantic, he needed to buy himself sometime. If he could speak, perhaps he could buy time for backup to arrive.
"Shut up," Jack bellowed.
Felix could only release a muffled cry as his jaw was torn from his body. Like his hand before that, Felix could do little more than gurgle a blood choked response as the angry warlock turned his dismembered jaw into an unrecognizable, bloody paste. If Felix were to have any chance of surviving he needed to flee. Instead, he now found himself levitating, the warlock slowly approaching.
"You attack my friend," Jack growled. "Attack my ex wife? Try to blow me up? I could forgive that, applaud you for your efforts. But, you made one..fatal..mistake." Jack now directed Felix sight behind them, the man now noting a young teenage girl along with the targets the Normal tried to acquire. Jack now simply snarled, Felix shuddering as the warlock now spoke.
"You tried to kill my daughter. Now that, will cost you your life!"
A muffled, blood choked scream now echoed from the hole where Felix's jaw was. Jack now tapped into his dark magic, useing his power to crush the would be assasin into an organic paste, unrecognizable to any that knew him. Jack made sure to keep the man alive for as long as possible, prolonging his suffering before mercifully ending Felix's life. Letting the shapeless, gory mass fall with a sickening, wet thud the warlock turned to Kellie and the others, retrieving the rings before handing them back to their previous owners.
Mary now took her ring in her ancient hands, undoing the the spell that had transformed her into a crone. Slowly her body began to regain strength, her white hair returning to its previous red, her teeth returning as her breasts rose while the wrinkles smoothed leaving her skin unblemished once more. Once more 20, she stood, offering a meek thank you to both Kellie and Jack.
"This is why we wanted you to be careful," Jack exclaimed. "Because people like this will come after you. If Kellie hadn't shielded everyone alot of people would have died, including MY DAUGHTER!"
"I said thank you," Mary grumbled, frowning at the enraged warlock. Jack said nothing, instead focusing his attention on the the people Mary Elise had rescued. "You four," he bellowed. "Since Mary's home is now a crater. You'll be staying at Circes Park. We have room and we can monitor whatever Mary here does without worrying about the Normal."
"Yeah I think we're good dude," Bong-cha replied. "We'll just find a place of our own."
Jacks eyes glowed, the floor beneath him cracking as he glared at the vampire and her friends. "It wasn't a suggestion!"
"We were just kidding," Set said quickly, throwing a hand over Bongs mouth. "We've always wanted to stay at an amusement park."
"Kellie," Jack called. "Get us out of here." Kellie nodded, the white haired sorceress's eyes glowing a brilliant blue as she now teleported the group to Circes Park, leaving behind only the gruesome organic mess of Felix Monroe.
