“What the hell is that?” Dr. Chapman exclaimed when he entered the lab.
Dr. Eastly was working with various new lab equipment surrounding a large chamber that belt a mass of fleshy viscera inside a blue liquid.
“Good morning and to you as well Chip.” The Lolita scientist responded.
“It’s Dr. Chapman, but that’s not what I’m talking about. What is this…thing?” He asked.
“This is—or was Felix Monroe, he was attacked during that break in a few days ago. The higher-ups want to see if I can do something to remedy this setback.” She said.
“Why? He may have been a top board member but he was a…well, you know…” the young man said.
“Everyone knew that Felix was a delusional, self obsessed, egomaniac. But even though he failed miserably, I always see great potential in failure. It’s a much better teacher than success.” She elaborated.
“I think you just quoted Yoda but continue on.” The brown haired doctor replied.
“Even though his brain was destroyed I was able to salvage vital tissue samples from what used to be his spinal cord and brain stem. With this material I can extract his exact genetic sequence, I was also able to secure sperm samples from a sperm bank he donated to in his youth. With these and the artificial womb I ordered we can basically create a new body and override its genes with Felix’s genetic memories.” She explained.
The other scientist turned to a smaller chamber with a fetus inside, checking the genetic information.
“But these cells have an XX chromosome, I think you forgot the Y chromosome.” He asked.
“No I didn’t, I think *Felicity* here could benefit from being free from the shackles of masculine ego.” The purple haired girl said smugly.
“Really?” He asked.
“You got me, the only viable sperm sample produced no Y chromosomes, so there’s no other option. On the bright side a female brain re organizes connections earlier and faster than a male, this will make the genetic memory reprogramming process easier and faster.” She explained.
“So how long until Felicity’s fully matured?” Dr. Chapman asked.
“About a week or two, by then she’ll be fully aged to 24 years old, just like Felix was before his death.” Dr. Eastly replied.
“Also I found trace amounts of dark magic in his remains. Whoever killed him must be very powerful, maybe I can use that energy to enhance Felicity some how, I just have to meet with management to get approval for that.” She continued.
Laila left the lab and headed towards the cafeteria, she made sure to have lunch when there weren’t many other people around, it was embarrassing to have to eat from a high chair.
“Have you heard back from Remy about our Triglycindictetra problem?” She asked.
“No, I haven’t heard or seen anything from him. He tends to keep to himself and his lab.” The young man answered.
“At least Project Blooming Flower will keep us busy until we hear from him, and yes, that is what I’m naming Felicity’s development.” She said as they entered the common area.

Sorry about kind of bringing Felix back, I just like a good villain story about revenge. If you don’t want Felicity to have any dark magic just have them reject Dr. Eastly’s enhancement proposal, it’s cool))
