While they were walking towards school, Kira told Sarah about the time she visited that cave. She mentioned the totems, but not the mysterious voice, because her friend wouldn't believe her. She also said that she took one of the totems placed in the cave, and that is in her room right now, but made sure nobody else heard that part, in case someone wanted to steal it.
"So, you say the totems are indeed real?"
"Yes, and there are a lot of them. If you ever manage to find that cave by yourself, or with my help, you'll have a hard time picking the favorite."
"Wow, sounds pretty interesting."
The two girls finally got to the school building. When they entered, they were greeted by a noise coming from a lot of students chatting among themselves, including the popular girl group, whose leader was none other than Rina Bailey, Kira's rival since kindergarten.
Rina's father was principal of the school, and whenever someone did something against her, she would threaten him or her that she will tell her father about it. Even though the popular girl leader was insufferable, every boy in her class seemed to love her, and every girl seemingly wanted to be like her.
"What's wrong, Kira?", asked Sarah, who noticed Kira's disgusted face.
"It's that popular brat again. I can't freaking stand her!"
"Come on, girl, calm yourself down, we're just going to avoid her."
The two friends walked away from the popular girls. However, Sarah noticed something odd about her friend.
"Kira?"
"Yes?"
"What happened to your nail polish?"
Shoot. Looks like the lion girl forgot about her nails. However, she came up with a simple lie.
"Eh, it's nothing. Just a little morning accident. I don't even care about it that much."
