Star cursed under her breath, in the last few days that she had known Deacon, she had never thought to actually ask him how old he was, and now she was beginning to regress in age due to developing an emotional bond with Deacon. What she was angry about wasn't that he was younger than her, but that Spark had to tell her to her face. Star wanted to get angry, she wanted to scream at Deacon that she didn't love him so she wouldn't regress to be younger than her sister. But she couldn't, no matter how much she thought about it, she knew Spark was right, Star was in love with Deacon.
"Deacon?" Star asked as she approached him, he turned his head to smile at her, and she almost went limp when she saw him. She definitely hadn't felt like this with any of the male fairies back home that she knew.
"Is something wrong, Star? I thought your sister would be happy to see you." Deacon asked as Star looked over at Spark too see her snickering while whispering to Connor who gave a little chuckle.
"Oh, she's definitely ecstatic about how you and I are....hanging out...but, I wanted to tell you...." Star began to say before Deacon interrupted her.
"Listen, before you say anything, I wanted to apologize to you, I guess you thought I was a little older than I am. I'm sorry, but I thought if I told you how old I was, you wouldn't want to hang out again. Can you forgive me?" Deacon politely asked.
Star felt her heart pounding. Deacon was being nothing but humble and she was admiring that about him.
"Actually, I wanted to know if you....wanted to....go out with me....Friday?" Star asked.
Deacon was almost shocked, but he quickly nodded. "Yeah, I'd really love that." Deacon said as the two of them exchanged phone numbers to meet up later in the week.
"I'll see you at the end of the week!" Deacon said with a smile and a wave.
"Aw, my little sister has her first date." Spark jokingly cooed as Star turned to glare at her.
"Hey, at least he's taking me out for a date, when was the last time you ever went out a date with Connor?" Star asked.
"Two weeks ago, I actually saved up some money for a slightly fancy restaurant. Spark dressed up in a beautiful dress that my mom had packed away in case she ever got a daughter one day and since my sister is still too young for boys, she gave it to Spark to wear. I said it to you before Spark, but that dress made me see you as the most stunning woman I've ever seen, in the human world, or fairy world. Hell, I'd say you looked even lovelier than your fairy queen." Connor explained while complimenting Spark who swooned over Connor's compliment.
"Oh Connor..." Spark sighed as she kissed Connor on the lips.
Star wondered if she and Deacon would have a relationship like her sister in the future. For now, she had to go home and tell her mother and sister that she had a date Friday and she knew they would go on to her about how she looked.
