Sisterly chat before a first date

added by O A month ago AR I O Magic Clothes

"I look like a spaz don't I?"

"What no of course not," Spark said quickly. Star furrowed her brow, glaring at her sister as they sat in the back of the car. "Okay yeah," Spark sighed. "Sorry." The expression on Stars face fell, her shoulders slumping in defeat. Seeing her sister looking so despondent, she now cast a spell, allowing the pair to talk without Deacon or Connor hearing what they had to say. "Ugh damn it," Spark groaned. "Here let me help."

With a flick of her wrist, Spark now transformed their outfits. Star's pink dress and black shoes warping into something less embarrassing. The sleeves became less poofy, extending to her wrists as the hem of her dress snaked down her legs, the material shifting into denim as her black shoes shifted into a pair of white sneakers. Now dressed in a light pink sweater and jeans, Star appeared like any other young teen on a first date.

"Thanks."

"Dont mention it," Spark smiled, looking over her own clothing and finding it to be more to her taste. A pair of jeans with a tshirt and leather jacket. Placing a hand on her usually older sisters shoulder, she tried to put her at ease. "Why am I so nervous," Star lisped. "I've been on dates before! Why am I acting like some kid!"

"Its part of the magic that turned you into a kid," Spark replied. "I've been there. Mentally we're still adults but physically, emotionally, we become the age we look like. Kinda throws you for a loop. You feel like you did when you were a teenager the first time."

"Well it sucks," Star grumbled, the young teen now nervously looking towards the front. "Won't Deacon notice my clothes are different?" Spark chuckled, beckoning her sister closer. "Humans usually chalk it up to a trick of the mind, especially teenage boys. Do you have any idea how many times I've changed outfits and Connor didn't notice?" Star giggled realizing that whether guys were human or fairy, they always seemd to be clueless when it came to girls changing their looks.

As the car now pulled into a parking space, Star glanced out the window curious as to where they were. "A bowling alley?" Spark nodded, the pair now exiting the backseat. Just as Spark said, the guys seemed to not notice their outfit change, casting the two a curious look before shrugging. "Yeah a bunch of us come here," Spark stated. "Its fun and no pressure. Seemed like an appropriate first date for you and Deacon. Just one thing, try to keep the magic under wraps."

Star nodded, a small smile breaking on her face. "Thanks Spark."

"Hey not a problem," Spark grinned. "Lets just hope it goes better than last time. We got jumped by a bunch of nut jobs and had to fight for our lives."

"YOU HAD TO WHAT!"

"Don't worry Star," Spark said. "That kinda thing only happens once, maybe twice every couple of months. Just have fun."
