The demon stops two feet in front of Jeff, its eyes still glowing red, which looks absolutely creepy in the dark, being black himself, it appears as though his eyes were floating in midair, Jeff is only able to make out a fine outline of the demon’s body.
Jeff then notices the demon seeming to shrink, it even starts to look younger, the demon’s scales also change color, looking more like skin, the same olive tone as Jeff’s. The 16-year-old widens his eyes as he watches the demon slowly becoming a younger version of him, soon a 10-year-old boy is standing in front of Jeff, grinning mischievously up at Jeff.
Loki then snaps his fingers and instantly modern style clothes materialize on his body, the “boy” now wearing a white t-shirt, a black jeans Jacket, a blue Jeans, white socks and black sneakers.
“What the…,” Jeff starts, his eyes wide in shock and surprise.
“Hehe,” Loki chuckles, “I read your thoughts, and I sensed that you were lonely and wished to have a little brother. Well, as thanks for bringing me to life, I thought I’d grant you that wish,” his voice no longer sounding creepy, it now sounds more like the voice of a normal ten year old.
“I… I don’t know what to say,” Jeff mumbles, “I… I mean, thanks, I guess. But… what will my… our parents say if I suddenly show up with a younger version of myself? And my friends… they know I have no little brother!”
Loki grins, “oh, I have already dealt with that issue,” he says, “a little reality alteration spell. Everyone, your parents, now OUR parents, your friends and anyone who knows you, they all think I have always been around!”
Jeff’s eyes widen even more, “holy hell… sorry for the pun… but… damn… you are one powerful demon,” he says, “I should watch out that I don’t make you mad… I don’t want to end up transformed into a statue or… toad!”
Loki snorts, then laughs, “really Jeff,” he says, “do you really think I’d do something that evil? Nah, if I were evil, I’d have done something to YOU instead of transforming myself into a weak human. So, you can trust me, I won’t do anything to you”.
Hearing this Jeff relaxes and even smiles, “I guess you are right,” he says.
Loki smiles, in reality however the former demon is mentally smirking to himself, ‘what a fool,’ he thinks to himself, ‘hehe, humans are so easy to manipulate and fool. Oh, I’m going to have so much fun!’
“But, I can’t call you “Loki”,” Jeff then says, unaware of the demon’s thoughts, “you’d need a more… well… normal name. Maybe “Luke”?”
Loki tilts his head, he then smiles, “I like that name,” he says, “Luke it is!”
Jeff smiles, “so, I guess we should head back to my friends,” he says.
Loki/Luke nods, he then walks to Jeff’s side and takes his “big brother’s” hand, they then start to head back into the house, ‘hehe… I’ll have some fun with his friends,’ the “boy” thinks to himself.
