Lilith paused, gazing at the Pendragon house. Several things now ran through the teens mind gazing at her friends Annie's home. One, when did she become the kind of girl to hang out with friends? Two, for the home of a several powerful wizards, this place seemed oddly normal. "Something bothering you," Mia asked.
Lilith turned, noticing the white witch now curious studying her. "Uh no not really," she stammered. "I um was expecting something, I don't know, more.."
"Magical," Mia smiled. "Yeah I said the same thing first time I came over." Mia now turned to Annie, the goth teen squirming under her friends gaze. "I don't know why everyone always expects my house to be sone castle out of a fantasy novel," she groaned. "Merlin and my mom aren't exactly trying to advertise what they are." Lilith simply nodded, after discovering her own blood relatives she could understand why someone would want to keep a low profile. "I don't know," Mia mused. "I mean if my family was famous I'd advertise it. As it is I'm just Mia Hall, the most boring witch ever."
"How can being a witch be boring," Lilith asked. Mia simply shrugged, the three teenage girls now entering Annie's home.
As Lilith entered, she immediately began to study the home carefully, looking for anything that would indicate just how magical this place was. Much to her disappointment, the house was as normal as any other suburban home. "Lilith what are you doing here?" Lilith turned, surprised to see Misery. Currently thr auburn haired coed was not wearing her trademark mask and leather duster, appearing completely normal on a sweater and jeans. "Misery," she asked. "What's going on?"
"Annie's mom invited me over for coffee," she said, studying the teenage girl under her care carefully. "Is everything alright? I thought Bong was picking you up after-school?"
"I told her I was hanging out with some friends," she said. "She was cool with it. She said they had a job to do anyway." Misery nodded, her brow furrowing as she wondered what kind of job Bong-cha and the others had. "Anyway," Lilith continued. "I was just going to hangout eith Annie and Mia. Is that cool?"
"Yes," Misery said quickly, happy to see Lilith making friends. "Yes, it's cool. Um, if you want I can give you a ride home later. I don't mind hanging around." Lilith simply shrugged. She could appreciate Misery trying to act as a stand in motherly figure, but it was difficult considering their first meeting had the woman snapping someone's neck.
As the girls made their way into Annie's room, Lilith took a moment to observe. Annie Pendragons room sported the kind of posters one would experience from a teenage goth girl. A few bands, some dark fantasy posters, even a skull candle. The one thing though that caught her by surprise was a picture of a young woman along with a teenage girl and infant with red hair. "Who are they," she asked.
"Oh," Annie said softly, her face blushing a tad as she grabbed the photo. "Those are my sisters. Katie, Gloria, and Lynne. They...they passed away a few years back, when my timeline was destroyed." Lilith now offered a small apology, noticing the sad look on her new friends face. "Its fine," Annie said, trying to change to subject. "Anyway have you met Mia's familiar Rexie? She's alot a fun."
Lilith shook her head, she had heard of Rexie but had yet to meet her. Before she could ask though, she gasped as a white cat with crystal blue eyes now jumped into her lap. "So who's this," Rexie asked. "This is Lilith," Mia stated. Rexie simply nodded, standing on her hind legs as a cigar now appeared in her paws. The cat familiar now lit said cigar, taking a long drag before blowing it into Liliths face. "Is that really necessary," Mia sighed. "Also pretty sure Annie's mom will freak out about you smoking in here."
"Jist blame the new girl," Rexie stated. "I can smell the cigarettes all over her. What are those Camels? Marlboro?"
"Parliament," Lilith blushed. Rexie smirked, the cat taking another long drag from her cigar. "Did you know Lilith has a familiar too," Annie stated.
"A familiar," Rexie exclaimed. "What? Is she a witch too?"
"Magical girl," Lilith stated. Rexie scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Bet I'm cuter."
No sooner had the words left the familiars mouth did Pokoyo appear, the pink cats three tails wagging as she gazed at the three girls with wide, adorable eyes. "Hello girls kyu," Pokoyo purred. "Did you have a beautiful day?"
"The fuck is this," Rexie exclaimed, the tabby cat flabbergasted by the adorable pink cats appearance. "Where did she come from?"
"I can go anywhere any of the Pretty Solar Guardians go kyu," Pokoyo purred. "And I must say it is truely impolite to smoke in the presence of a pretty Guardian." Rexie furrowed her brow, glaring at the adorable familiar. This cat was rival for her own cuteness and could easily cut into Rexies snack quota. "I don't like you," Rexie grumbled, Pokoyo only offering a smirk and an adorable kyu in response.
"Okay break it up you two," Mia sighed, grabbing her familiar. "I'm not breaking up a literal cat fight." Annie and Lilith now stifled a laugh as the three girls now talked what to do.
