So Andrew then decided to. put on the ring. The magic acted at once. The young man got trapped in a whirlwind of colors and shapes. Once it stopped, he was astonished to find himself in a very different place than the arcade had been. It was a forest, with river flowing next to him and high mountains right next to these. He was in a mountain valley, under a setting sun.
"What?... Where am I?..." he stammered.
"Fool," said the voice of the ring.
"What?" asked a frightened Andrew as he noticed the ring was nowhere to be found.
"Fool," repeated the voice of the ring. "It was all of trap. Each time a human slips on the ring, he becomes a baby dragon. Then he gets transported into this realm of fantasy. Dragons do not reproduce easily and humans from your world are easier to transform. Soon human trappers will come to get you and sell you to a dragon family happy at adding you into their happy family. Isn't that great? And I will get picked up by another human and get the trappers even richer. Is life not great?"
"What? No! I don't want to be a baby dragon and get bought! I wanted to be a big fierce dragon!"
"And so you shall be. In a few centuries, with any luck," said the voice. "Not that your human thoughts will stay within your mind for long, mind you. So you can either wait for the trappers to get you or try to escape. But good luck with that baby body."
Then the voice went silent and Andrew noticed he could hear voices in the woods. Voices talking about a dragon that had to be captured. And he saw them in the distance, between the trees. They were here! Andrew attempted to flee but his weak limbs did not help any. His body truly was puny and feeble! In no time, the trappers were around him with nets, ready to catch him in. All laughed, happy at the thought of soon selling a baby dragon. Andrew realized that when he tried talking, they did not listen to him. He just reached their knees. What could he do now?
