Melanie saw a spell that caught her attention immediately, it was written in a really strange and hard to read typography but she managed to read "humanoid shape transformation", her golden ticket to returning back to normal.
She wondered what she needed to do to cast it, but considering that she was losing her voice disappearing in barkings she touched the book and began to read it in her mind, concentrating and manifesting her original body. After she finished she opened her eyes, nothing seemed to happen, she sighed and her thoughts of being a human again dissolved in her sadness, but then, some purple glowing circles with unrecognisable symbols printed came from the book, surrounding Melanie, she saw everything in amazement as she felt her body changing.
Her body morphed and bones changed her anatomy, the process wasn't painful but felt really weird for her, Melanie tried to speak and she recovered her human voice! At the same time she saw how her sight elevated as she was getting taller, like her original height. The process finished and she couldn't be more glad but then she saw herself in a mirror in front of her and gasped looking at what she turned into. The spell fulfilled its mission, it gave her an humanoid shape but not as she expected, she wasn't an human again, but the "humanoid shape transformation" turned her into a female anthropomorphic dog, with three pairs of small breasts below her original ones, her still waving tail attached to her brown fur covered body with dog traits and paws replacing her feet, at least she recovered her voice and her hands with thumbs, just a little more... furry.
She desperately tried to find a way to undo the spell and transform into an ACTUAL human, she didn't panic as a part of her seemed to... like it? But hurried to find a solution. After spending some minutes passing the pages she heard some noises coming from the apartment's door all of sudden, "Oh no!" That was what Mel thought, Beth came back and she was a furry dog woman, she needed to think of something to get out of that situation.
