No! What was he saying?! Jake couldn't just randomly turn into an adult. What would his mother think, and how would he live? Jake was about to press another button when Coach Kelb stopped him.
"No, don't stop it now! Who knows what will happen if you start messing with it while it's still running? Just let it finish on me, and we can reverse the changes on you afterward."
Jake was a bit annoyed since he just reversed the machine while it was still working on Kelb. He was more annoyed that Kelb was also right. They had already reversed the flow because they were worried Kelb would get too young, so any more reversing might damage the machine. Before he could ruminate more over this, another wave of growth had hit Jake. The former middle schooler groaned as he continued to age and now looked closer to a junior in high school. His breathing started to become labor as each gasp of breath became fuel for his growth. A deep breath, and his shoulders became wider. Another breath and his pecs jutted out a little bit further. Another breath, and he got a little bit taller. The teen almost moaned as he felt his stomach tighten into abs. Despite the unwilling change, Jake was feeling good, great even. He was feeling more energetic and stronger, but what he wasn't feeling was appreciation, and that confused him.
He was supposed to hate the way muscle men look. They were unatrual, freaks even. Or... was all of that from peer pressure and he actually wanted to look like that? It was rather childish when he looked back on it. Wait?! Was his mind getting older and more mature as well? Jake couldn't think about that for long as he felt another wave of growth hit him. The growing man moaned as he felt himself leaving teenagehood and entering adulthood.
Meanwhile, Ryan Krebs probably should have been looking over his student as he was aging, but he got distracted by his own changing body. It was gratifying seeing the muscles he worked so hard to build return to him. It was also nostalgic to see his body at different stages of his life and remember where he was when he had that body. Memories of him beginning to work out, joining the football team, and even getting his first kiss were flooding back to him. Ah, so many good memories, but now wasn't the time to reminisce, wasn't it? Ryan looked over to Jake and was even more shocked at Jake's progress than he was last time. The kid was almost as muscular as he was right now! This was not the result of good genes; you would have to work out to get that cut. But that didn't make any sense; Jake was one of the kids who made fun of him for being a bodybuilder, so why was Jake becoming one now? Ryan didn't have much time to think about it now as he heard tearing noises.
"My clothes!" Jake cried out in a deeper voice. It was a miracle that his clothes lasted this long, but now that miracle was giving out as Jake's clothes began to tear at the seams. Ryan wasted no time and took off his jacket, gave it to Jake, and then instructed him to tie his jacket around his waist. It wasn't a perfect cover, but it would do for now. It wasn't long before Coach Kelb returned to his normal age, and he shut off the machine. Alright, now it was time to turn Jake back to his original age, and they would be done here. However, that turned out to be easier said than done as soon after the machine started to sputter and spark. The two men backed away as the machine continued to spark until the machine broke down completely. The two men just stood there and stared at the now-broken machine in disbelief. What were they going to do now?
