Ruben checked his phone again.
It was 11:13 AM and he still had to find a job.
The 16 year old boy, got out of bed, and quickly had breakfast before getting behind his computer to look at job applications.
He found his own place quite fast after getting emancipated, however this did mean he had to quickly find a job, or he would risk losing his new house.
He didn't really have any particular skills, having dropped out of high school, so finding a decent job was going to be difficult.
Ruben sat down behind his laptop, and logged in, scrolling and browsing through multiple job offers.
He sighed, and rubbed a hand through his brown hair.
He finally managed to make a bit of a short list, of jobs he'd be good at.
But curiousity led him to check one more time.
There was a new job listing, just posted online, decent salary, decent hours and no prior experience required.
It also stated that if hired, you could start that very same day!
This was perfect, he thought, as he quickly applied for the opening.
Ruben decided to take a quick break and grabbed some lunch.
His phone pinged with a notification, a response to his job application!
Due to shortage of staff he was hired on the spot, as long as he could start tomorrow!
This was great, tomorrow he would start his new job....
