"Why Does That Character Look Like My Dumb Brother? Oh Well, Let's Play!"

added by LittleBoy 25 days ago O

Just as Jeff is sucked into the game he had created, he is unaware that his little brother Finn is sitting on his bed in his room and is not, as Jeff had assumed, at a friend’s home. The 10-year-old is browsing the App-store on his phone, when the 10-year-old’s eyes notice a game titled, “A Medieval Adventure” with the tags “Virtual Novel”, “Romance”, “Adventure” and “Magic” beneath it.

Finn’s curiosity is awakened and he decides to read the description, “cool,” the young boy says after reading the description, “sounds interesting and fun. I do love “Virtual Novels”, especially those based in the medieval period, but I never played one with romance. I guess it has some… um… “interesting” scenes, kind of weird that it’s free and for all ages, maybe those certain scenes are not to extreme and child friendly”. The boy shrugs, “who cares,” he says, and without a second thought, he downloads and installs the game.

After the game is installed, Finn opens it and finds himself in the “character selection” screen, he scrolls through all the characters when suddenly he raises an eyebrow and tilts his head in a confused way, “why is there a character that looks exactly like my stupid big brother Jeff,” he asks himself, “must be a coincidence, but it’s still weird”.

Finn decides to finish checking out the characters, he then scrolls back to the character that looks like Jeff, “every other character does not seem to spark something in me,” he mumbles, “something about this “Jeff” character gives me the feeling as if it’s saying “pick me”,” with a shrug the boy selects the character, unaware that it actually IS his brother Jeff.

The boy’s eyes widen when the screen changes and the character is suddenly naked, with his cock on full display. Finn actually blushes a little, “um… okay… yeah… defiantly NOT a game for children,” he mumbles, but then he grins, “hehe… IF the “clothes selection” screen is created like this… I CAN’T WAIT to see how this “romantic” story will go. Let’s give him some clothes and get this game started”. Finn chooses a pair of white braies, which look like modern day shorts but were underwear in the medieval period, he then selects some brown leather pants, leather shoes, some white socks, a white shirt, a leather vest and a brown leather trench coat. The boy the opens the “accessories list” and selects a leather bag to stash items like the “character’s” money and other small belongings and a larger leather backpack which he fills with additional clothing, food, a leather water flask, a thin blanket and other supplies a traveler needs. Tapping his chin, Finn decides that he has everything he needs to start the game, “if I missed something, I can always add it later, or I might be able to craft something as the game progresses,” he says to himself, “now, let’s see what this game has to offer,” and with that he taps the “start” arrow and the screen turns black as the game starts to load.

As Finn selected the clothing, Jeff does the same and selects everything Finn has chosen, unaware that not he, Jeff, is controlling his choice, that instead his little brother is controlling him. Just as Jeff is about to examine himself in his new clothes, his vision turns black, when his vision returns, he finds himself standing on a small path that leads from a forest behind him and towards what seems to be a small town. Jeff’s eyes widen at the scenery, “holy crap,” he says, “this looks so real! It looks exactly like my real reality, man… I hope I don’t forget that I am in a game. Anyway, what should I do first? Head to the town or check out the forest?”

Unaware to Jeff, when he tries to decide what to do, back in Finn’s room the ten-year-old is looking down at his phone, “I must say,” he says, “it looks nice so far, the 2D character and the background look really clean and sharp”. Finn taps the screen and sees that he is able to make two choices:

- Head for the town
- Explore the forest

Finn thinks for a while, “I think I’ll…”.
