“I think I’ll first head to town,” Finn decides, “for one, I’d need to find some easy tasks to earn some cash and maybe find someone who’d teach me a skill in order for me to battle possible dangers with,” so Finn selects the “head for the town” option.
Back in the game, Jeff decides to head to the town first, “I should head to town first to gather some information, maybe find a place to stay and some easy tasks to earn some cash,” he says to himself, unaware that his decision has been chosen by his little brother, but to Jeff it feels as if he himself out of free will has decided what to do.
Oblivious to the fact that he has no control over his body, decisions, thoughts and actions, Jeff soon arrives in the town. The town is surrounded by a tall thick stone wall, after passing through the arche, which leads into the town itself, Jeff stops and takes a few minutes to look around. “Wow, this town is buzzling with life,” he says to himself, which appears as writing on Finn’s screen, “I think I’ll have no problem finding someone to give me a task, there must also be some place I could stay and they must have a blacksmith where I could get myself a knife, sword and other stuff I might need. First, I should ask around and see if anyone might need my help or have a task for me, I need to earn some cash before I can rent out a place and buy some stuff I’d need”.
Jeff starts to walk through the town, keeping his eyes open, trying to spot someone who might need his help.
As Jeff explores the town, he notices that there aren’t just humans walking around, but also anthropomorphic animals: Foxes, Dogs, Wolves, Cats, Tigers, Lions, Horses, Mice, Birds and even Dragons, or at least some Lizard-like animals, all dressed in medieval clothes, some in simple plain clothes, like Jeff, but some in much more decorated attire. Jeff assumes the ones in more decorative attires must be some high-class official, warriors or royalty. The teen then spots something which causes him to raise an eyebrow, near a dark alleyway, Jeff notices a hooded figure dressed in all black, just standing there and seeming to look around as if searching for someone or something. Jeff is unable to tell if the figure is human, Anthro… or something else entirely, ‘I don’t like the person,’ the boy thinks to himself, ‘something feels off about him or her. I’d better stay clear of… it’.
Jeff quickly walks by the figure, hoping the figure hasn’t notice him looking at it, having put some distance between himself and the figure, Jeff lets out a sigh of relief, “that really felt sketchy,” he mumbles to himself.
After collecting his thoughts and calming down, Jeff decides to start talking to some folks, at first Jeff doesn’t seem to have any luck, either the person has no task for him or just walks by Jeff as if he weren’t there.
An hour goes by and Jeff starts to get frustrated, “man… I thought it would be easy to find a job to do,” he mumbles to himself, “maybe I’ll have more luck asking the blacksmith,” he then starts searching for the local blacksmith.
As Jeff walks along the streets, searching for the blacksmith, he notices a group of what seem to be teenagers, standing in a circle around something lying on the ground, he notices some pointing and even laughing. A crash from nearby causes Jeff to spin around and sees a small figure, probably a child, disappearing into an alleyway and an angry looking Wolf-man running after it. Turning his head, Jeff notices an elderly woman carrying what seems to be a heavy bag, the woman defiantly struggling and wincing.
“Damn, suddenly there is so much going on,” Jeff says to himself, “should I help the elderly woman? Help the Wolf-man catch the thief? See what that group of teens is laughing at? Continue on to the blacksmith? I don’t know why, but I am even considering wanting to head back where I spotted that black robed figure… what should I do?”
Unaware to Jeff, back in his true reality, his little brother sees the following options on his screen:
- Help the elderly woman
- Chase after the thief
- Check out the group of teens
- Continue on to the blacksmith
- Return to the figure in black robes
“Hmmm…,” Finn says to himself, “not an easy chose. I’m kind of curious what that black figure is up to, even though he or she looks creepy and making me feel uneasy. Maybe I should stay away from him… her… and rather help the Wolf catch the thief or help the elderly woman with her shopping? Man… this game really is not easy… but so far I am really enjoying it!”
