In the four days since they returned to school, Henry transferred to the gifted class. As they left school on Thursday, they received a call consisting of static. Which they mentally decoded into Dr Tucker wants them to meet a contact of theirs for further orders. So went to a viewing area in a park and waited.
A the sky darkened they heard a familiar voice close to them. They turned around and saw Ms Taylor standing there.
"Hello, Melissa, Henry. How are you?" She asked with a smile.
The two of them were stunned at the revelation that their guidance counsellor was working for Dr Tucker.
Ms Taylor smiled, "Yes, I work for Dr Tucker. He sent me to your school to keep an eye out for whoever would show signs of development from the formula. Henry, you really should've taken part in that experiment."
Henry frowned, having been reminded of the physical differences between Melissa and himself.
"Now, you are to assist me by carrying out this mission. Here's the file. Read it, and you'll know what to do." Ms Taylor said, handing them a manilla folder.
"Oh yes, I nearly forgot to give you these." She said, whipping out two syringes and stabbing them into Henry and Melissa's head.
"Ow! What was that for?" Henry asked.
"That is a subdermal communication system that lets you speak to us, or each other without anyone knowing. It's the same as the ones we have. Now go and read the briefing." Ms Taylor instructed.
