Ralph Raye was an average American high schooler. Not tall or short, not fat or thin, not a good or a bad student, he always just kind of felt... there. And that was why he wanted to change. He had turned 18 just a week ago, and felt like high school was just passing him by.
He didn't have many friends outside of class or any big social clubs he was in. He didn't have many skills he specialized in, and kinda assumed after he finished here he'd just end up working at a convenience store or something. There had to be more to life than this, he thought to himself constantly.
The worst part was, he couldn't even say what he thought he'd do if he could do anything. Would he want to get amazing grades, get into a good college and become a smart kid? Did he think finding a big social circle with his high school's jocks or nerds would make him happy? He wasn't sure. He didn't even know if he'd be happy if he could change things more dramatically- he imagined being in another country, or a girl, or realizing he was gay, sometimes but couldn't say if it was what he wished would happen.
Fittingly, one day the Wish Granting App would show up on his phone, and usher him into a totally new life. But what would that life be?
