After waking up Jess decided to spend the rest of the night adjusting to her new body and family, as well a fully process the memories of her new life. She learned that her fathers were named Iris and Renea, with their names being combined into Irene when referred to collectively (which was fairly common due to there only being two people who knew they were separate individuals). Apparently in the far future that they hailed from all humans were born with at least two heads, though people with three or even four heads were not unheard of. While “body sisters” often ended up with similar, but rarely identical, personalities due to their shared experiences they still retained separate consciousnesses and were considered different people. Because of this, Jess’s fathers often had trouble relating to their singular daughter, and often relied on their wife to fill in the gaps in their parenting.
Speaking of her, Jess’s new mother was named Ophelia and had met Irene after going through a bad breakup with her previous girlfriend. She quickly fell in love with her, and that love only grew after Irene revealed themselves as Iris and Renea. After dating for a little over a year they got married after Ophelia got pregnant. Thankfully the advanced medical technology the sisters brought let them avoid any questions about the babies biology from doctors, and Jess was born safely. There were a few scares as the growing girl struggled with hiding her evolved nature from her peers but overall she grew up happy and healthy.
As Jess continued processing her new memories, she became more and more thankful that all this had gone down on a Saturday. If she had to go to school tomorrow she doubted she would have everything in order, and as a high-school senior who (apparently) had plans to go to a good university that was a distraction she couldn’t afford when finals were in a couple of months.
A distraction she could afford however was more experiments with the Chronivac. With her fathers evolved she figured the logical next step was to try out the devolve function. When she first downloaded package she dismissed it since, logically, it would just regress the target to a neanderthal or something but with how incredible the results had been with the evolution she was willing to give it a shot, if it ended up being uninteresting she could always reverse it. She set it up just like she did for her fathers, with the transformation being gradual. That would hopefully give her enough time to see if devolving someone was worth doing by the time she went to bed. She activated the transformation before joining her parents in the living room to watch a movie.
