The mourning gecko is a very fascinating lizard. These small lizards have an amazing amount of stamina that allowed them to reach new islands, even if it was by clinging to driftwood or being blown across the ocean by tropical storm winds. When ancient Polynesian pioneers sailed to new islands, mourning geckos may stowaway on their boats and spread to even further islands than before. And thanks to parthenogenesis, it only takes one female landing on an island to start a population. In this manner, the mourning gecko has spread to most coastal regions of the Indian and Pacific oceans and has been introduced to the coastal areas of South America as well.
As such, there was not much surprise to learn there was a population of mourning geckos living on Ao Guang Island. The geckos' presence were of a great interest to the members of ROSE House. Until then, they thought the whiptail was the only all-female lizard species. An internet search could probably reveal other species, but now they had something to expand the selection of those who wished to remain purely lesbian or those who want to convert completely into females without becoming herms.

The first mourning gecko to be uplifted was named Roimata. It was a Maori name that meant 'teardrop', which was a perfect fit for the eye-licking lizard. Sappho and Susan decided to take a more personal approach to her uplifting. Usually, the first uplifting of a new species was done by Horizon Labs scientists, though they didn’t have a particularly big lab on this island. But there really was no reason why they couldn’t conduct this uplifting. Once their vaccines were deactivated, they were given a room to work.
“So how exactly are we going to uplift her?” asked Sappho. She and Susan were currently naked, with Susan carrying the gecko in the palm of her hand.
“I was thinking the same way that you did for me,” said Susan, fondling her breast.
“As sexy as that would be, I’m not sure she’ll go for us. Lizards aren’t really milk drinkers,” said Sappho.
“I’ll make sure she gets a taste,” said Susan as she started tweaking her nipple. Soon enough, she got a little stream of milk started. Twisting her breast, Susan squirted a few drops of milk on top of the gecko’s head. Instinctively, she licked her eyeballs to wipe the foreign substance from them.
It became pretty obvious when the transformation started. The little gecko which had easily fitted in Susan's hand started growing larger. Before long, she had to hold her with both hands. When she grew to the size of a small child, Susan put her on the bed. By that point, Roimata's limbs were growing larger in proportion to her body. The toes on her forepaws extend into longer fingers with one toe on each paw forming into a thumb. The fingers and thumbs still retained the distinctive pads. Her hindpaws remained mostly the same if larger and at the ends of longer legs. There were two pops as her hips shifted to allow for more bipedal movement.
Roimata's hips and rear became more distinctive as they filled out with feminine curves. In fact, her whole body was remodeling into a womanly shape, her thighs filling out, her waist tapering in, and her shoulders becoming more defined but tapered. Her femininity became much more obvious as a pair of nipples appeared on her chest followed by biomass filling up behind them. Roimata's head grew to match the rest of her body, her brain expanding with new knowledge while her face shifted slightly to better expression human emotions.
As Roimata processed everything that's happened to her, she slowly blinked her eyes. Of course that was a new sensation to her. "Whoa, I have eyelids," she said. She looked down at herself and added, "I have breasts." She touched her new additions and shuddered in unexpected pleasure. "Ooh, that feels nice," she said.
"Yeah, all part of the Animalian package," said Susan.
"Animalian?" asked Roimata.
"Uplifted animals like us or converted humans like Susan," said Sappho, gesturing to her mate, "I'm Sappho and your name's Roimata."
"I like that name," said Roimata. She looked at the two of them and said, "You're like me and yet not like me."
"Well, I was formerly human, but me and Sappho are whiptail lizards, not like you," said Susan.
"But we can show you how alike we are," said Sappho, pawing at at Roimata's breast.
Roimata smiled at that and said, "I think I'd like to see that."
Quite soon after that, Roimata was nursing from Susan's breast directly. Sappho was suckling from Roimata's breast while her hand played with the gecko's pussy. Sappho was using her tail to probe Sappho's pussy like an impromptu dildo. While Susan and Sappho were married to each other, they had no problem with the occasional outsider joining in their lesbian fun. And Roimata was proving to be a lot of fun.
