Looking over in shock, Mary spots a small doberman lapping up her melted chocolate form! But upon moving, the dog definitely sees more then he expected at this sweet treat, and by the churning noise in his stomach he is learning that not all that tastes sweet is good for you, making his escape through the open door.
Mary, now lacking a few toes and almost half of her right foot, limps back to the vials, muttering. Back to her initial worry about Jen, she sits down and puts her sore foot up on another chair, leaving her fridge open to let the cool air help her from melting.
Suddenly, Mary's ears perk up as she thinks of her situation, remembering the dog. Quickly moving to her vials and rummaging through them, she begins to concoct a mixture to find her lost friend.

A few weeks pass

Jess the raven tends to her eggs, warming them serenly in her nest as her mate is out hunting.
Meanwhile, an anthro wolf is prowling about on all fours, on day 23 of her hunt, Mary is about to give up hope. After last weeks 3 day long rainfall finding any scent of Jess outside was hard as it was, being hard to begin with since her scent was from midflight! Although, she smells something vague, yes, like the feather she found in her living room, somewhat human but definitely raven! Mary bolts off towards the smell.

Sensing the intruding beast approaching their small tree, the male raven caws angrily at the wolf creature. Shielding the mother of his eggs, he hops out of his nest to the nearest branch to the wolf, puffing up his feathers as he glares downwards. Mary rears up onto her reverse knee legs and walks towards them. With a screeching shrill call, the male attacks her, defending his nest viciously. However, with catty like instincts Mary grabs the bird in her paw, her clawed fingers closing around the bird's neck but not hurting him too badly. Jess, seeing her mate attacked by this danger, steps up preparing to fight as well, the gargantuan lupine will not get HER eggs!
Mary reaches to a belt she has around her otherwise naked body, just an old pistol holster belt, but instead of a weapon she has a variety of corked plastic bottles, the contents of the vials. Forcing the cap open she pours the contents over the bird's head, knowing even though its just soaking the bird, it will get enough in it's body to begin the transformation. Jess is soon captured as well, Mary dropping the shuddering poisoned male as she uncorks a second vial, excited with the possibility this is her friend Jess.
