Jeff's parents had just got back home after a busy day working in one of several bicycle shops they owned. They were tired and were looking to collect the kids to go back out into town so that they could get a bite to eat. They heard the kids fighting from outside again and so decided to just sneak in through the kitchen and catch their kids fighting in mid act. And so, they unlocked the door and immediately passed through the kitchen. Once the parents reached inside the kitchen, both of them hid behind the pass-through at the bar and watched the scene unfold. Upon watching Katie push Jeff into a brand new looking computer that neither parent recognized, dad had finally had enough, stood up from behind the breakfast bar, took his belt off, and slammed it against the bar as hard as he could to get the attention of his kids. He shouted, "BEDROOMS, NOW!!!". Jeff tried to grab the Chronivac, but his father simply replied, "Leave it!" Neither kid had ever seen their dad so angry and so they figured it best to escape to their rooms to leave their parents in peace.
"What the hell was THAT all about?", asked Jeff and Katie's mom. "Me or the kids, honey?", asked the dad. "Both!", mom simply stated. "Oh, I'm not sure about the kids, but I'm sick and damn tired of their arguing and shit day in and day out.", dad responded. Mom's reply was, "Well, I can't argue with that at all, especially Katie. What's gotten into that girl? She's become a monster at home and a monster at school. Didn't you notice her last report card? Dad returned, "Yeah, I've seen it. She's turned into a total flunkie and bully to boot.....just as if she were a boy. To be fair, though, Jeff's been trying to be a better kid even though he's taking it hard with all the bullying he gets at school." Mom returned, "True.", before pecking a kiss onto her husbands lips. She then added, "You handled it very well, mister man of the house. Let's say we order a pizza in, let the the kids stew in their rooms all night until morning, and cuddle up.....it's been a long day." Dad replied, "But first, let's check out this computer that Jeff seemed so interested in. It looks as though it's a one of those new-found Chronivac gadget things." Mom replied, "Oh, really? I've heard of those, I think we may have found a way to punish our kids." Dad only nodded his head in agreement.
And so, both parents made their way into the living room and looked over the Chronivac. Dad started to read over the text and had discovered that the Chronivac had Jeff being pulled from his grade level at school and being returned to second grade with his age and mind intact. "I think our son wants to go back to second grade, Darling.", dad finally answered. Mom thought about things for a minute and eventually came to a conclusion. Her reply, "Hon, I've thought about it. If this is really what Jeff wants, let him have it. It might be good for him to have an easier change of pace for a while. Also, it might even teach him a lesson, though I'm not quite sure what. But, it's near the end of the year, let's just change it so that he goes to the first grade for the rest of this year. That way, he can enjoy his summer break without pressure and then he can attend the entire year of next year in the second grade.....with his age and mind intact." Dad responded while chuckling, "Fair enough.", before changing the settings for Jeff from second grade to first grade.
Dad then asked, "What do we do with Katie?" Mom's warmth disappeared, "I want you to input the changes for her, but I want to make sure we're in agreement about her changes because I'm so angry right now that I could just put her back into diapers." "Why?", asked dad, "So that she could terrorize little kids and possibly injure them?"
