The Magic Shop

Claire explores the neighborhood

Claire shut her phone and took a deep breath, feeling a surge of unfamiliar emotions bubbling within her. It wasn’t just the arousal that startled her; it was the realization of how much this world felt right to her. It was intoxicating. But she also knew she needed to see this new reality with her own eyes.

Throwing on a jacket, she left her room and stepped outside into the cool, crisp air. Her neighborhood looked mostly the same—same houses, same cars parked along the street. But the subtle differences made her pulse race. She spotted a group of joggers, all men, moving in unison down the sidewalk. Their outfits were tight and revealing, like something Claire would have expected from women in the old world. Crop tops clung to their toned midriffs, and their short shorts showed off smooth, toned legs. One of them had his hair up in a high ponytail, the strands bouncing as he ran. They were all chatting, giggling at something one of them had said. Claire caught a glimpse of their breasts gently bouncing in their tight tops.

She walked down the street, her steps heavier and more confident than they’d ever felt before. Every woman she passed radiated power and presence. They all wore practical, no-nonsense clothing—short hair, strong builds, some even sporting light facial hair. They walked with an air of confidence, barely glancing at the men around them, who, in contrast, seemed more preoccupied with how they looked. Claire felt a small, mischievous smile tugging at her lips. This is how it should be.

As she turned the corner, she saw a couple—a man and a woman—standing outside a café. The man was adjusting his dress, a delicate floral print that highlighted his curvy figure. The woman stood next to him, towering over him with muscular arms crossed over her chest. They looked like they were in the middle of an argument. The woman’s voice was firm and commanding, while the man’s was soft and pleading.

"Please, I didn’t mean to upset you." he said, his voice trembling slightly.

The woman huffed, clearly frustrated but less angry now. "Just don’t make that mistake again. Got it?" she replied in a deep, authoritative tone.

Claire continued walking, a sense of satisfaction settling over her. She had made the perfect change. In this world, women were the strong ones, the leaders, the protectors. And men… well, they were beautiful, submissive, and desired.

She arrived at a nearby park and sat on a bench, watching the people go by. A young man, maybe in his early twenties, passed by with a stroller, looking frazzled as he tried to soothe a crying baby. His long, auburn hair fell messily over his shoulders, and his pink leggings clung to his shapely hips. A few women nearby chuckled at his struggles, but no one stopped to help.

Claire’s phone buzzed in her pocket, pulling her attention away. It was a message from someone.
