"Then let's get to work. This very evening, I wish for my girlfriend's new boyfriend Thomas to come here to live as my pet," declared Damon as if he had uttered the best idea in the history of mankind.
He grinned wickedly. That wish was perfect! Thomas would get his punishment all right! It was a great idea! A super wish! He was sure to get a great revenge now!
"As you wish, master," said the genie.
The supernatural being did think that young mortal was harsh but he had seen many similar cases in all of his centuries. Humans could be so petty at times. It was always disappointing, but by now hardly surprising. He still thought that boy was mean, taking revenge like that. Maybe he could help at some point that poor other boy who did not really deserve a fate as the one Damon wanted for him. And he had to intervene anyway because the wish itself was a tad too vague.
"That will be great!" he said excitedly.
"But... Master..." stated the genie hesitantly.
"What???" said Damon, annoyed at the genie's words.
"What sort of pet would you like this boy to become? And would he retain his human mind?"
Damon pondered on this. Yes, the genie had a point. Several, in fact. Should Thomas retain his human mind and live a nightmare? Or should he lose his mind knowing he'd lose himself for good? Damon thought about the question at length and then smiled widely and turned to the genie. He had reached his decision.
