A Game of Change

Anger Management

added 17 years ago O

"Why don't you just drop the dice and move so I can do that," Dave said. "Then you can have all the time you want to kiss your girlfriend's slimy mouth."

"What did you say?" the bat screeched. "Sue and I aren't like that!"

"Then stop caring about her and take your turn. It's obvious that right now you're not made for each other," Dave snarled.

Terry was furious. He picked up the dice and threw them at Dave. They bounced off the lion's face and fell onto the board, knocking a few of the cards off the stack. "Roll, Tom," he said flatly.

Tom gave a nervous look to Dave and then Terry before rolling the red dice. He got a six. "Looks like you can go ahead," he said solemnly.

Silently, Terry moved his token the five spaces noted on his own die roll. He reached for the cards, realizing that three were now turned upright on the board thanks to his outburst. All three had his name in bold lettering.

He picked up the cards and read their texts.

You're angry but that's okay.
Part of you will stay that way.

Something must be done for this
Before you and Sue can kiss.

The bad parts must go away
To make it a better day.

"How is it going to--" Terry's voice cut from English to a deafening screech as his body was wracked with pain. His wings folded around his body as he hunched over. Frog Sue gave a startled ribbit and hopped to the other side of the room. Dave watched Terry intently.

When his wings opened up again, there was a human body in front of Terry's bat-like form. He looked exactly like the regular Terry, but he was unconscious and naked. He lay on the floor, curled up and unmoving.

Bat-Terry screeched again and furiously began to flap its wings. It pounced on Dave, who began clawing at his face until Terry let go. Landing upright on the floor, the lion shouted.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Terry didn't respond with words. He dove at the beast again. It took all of Dave's newfound feline instincts and strength to ward off his attack.

"His personality must have been separated!" Hannah shouted. "Like when Dave had three heads!"

"So the angry Terry is the bat, and he's lashing out at Dave!" Tom understood. He leapt into the fray, trying to pull Terry off Dave from behind. Sue flapped her large butterfly wings to give them pulling leverage.

As the bat finally let go, the centaur/ape/cat/butterfly couple landed against a wall, now having Terry's full attention.

"Roll your dice!" Tom shouted. "Win this game before Terry kills us!"
