Joy takes you back outside, leading you through the paths of the zoo, talking the whole while. "Werecats as a whole are not lunar-tied at all, unlike many of the other shapeshifter types. Instead, they transform during, or shortly after intercourse with a human, although they may transform if they're extremely angered or upset."
"Oh," you reply, "like in the movie Cat People?"
Joy laughs, "We've got it on pretty good authority that at least three werecats were on the set, and may have infected as many as 30 Hollywood actors and extras."
"In the movie, they weren't infectious," you reply.
"Well, it WAS a movie," says Joy, almost scoldingly. "But infection from a werecat doesn't come from a bite; it comes from drinking their fluids."
"You mean like going down on a werecat?" you ask, kind of shocked.
"Yeah, but only when they're in their cat form. It's physically impossible to be unknowingly infected by a werecat," Joy tells you, "Otherwise the world might be overrun by them."
"Indeed," you reply.
You finally reach your destination, a bungalow set far away from any of the other buildings. Joy pushes a few buttons on the keypad outside the door, and the two of you enter.
