If Tina was saying anything, Tonya completely ignored it. She listened enough to make Tina think she listened, but knew she'd never do what she's asking. It's official, Tina really was the worst person to confide in, and Tonya is willing to admit she's at fault.
"So that's about it. Any questions?" Tina asked, and Tonya politely shook her head.
"Nope, I got it. Hey, since you're busy, mind If I just take Leah back? Get her acclimated and all that."
Tina tensed her face in consternation before giving a nod.
"I suppose that's fine. Sure, go on ahead. Just don't forget what I said."
Tonya gave an other nod before turning away and trying her hardest not to run. She quickly approaches Leah, leaning over to whisper, "Come on, let's get out of here!"
Leah didn't need to be told twice, giving a glance behind before power walking forward.
"What'd she talk about?"
"Honestly no clue, something about instructions to taking care of you. It's insane, it's like she can't even comprehend how wild it is to treat you like a child. You were right, we shouldn't have told her."
Leah gave a slight chuckle.
"Yeah. For a minute there, I...damn, I thought you'd betray me or something."
Tonya gasped dramatically, only slightly offended.
"I would never!"
"You're right, I really shouldn't have doubted."
The two finally made it to Tonya's car, sighing in relief.
"So, what's the plan?" Leah asked.
"Honestly? Just go with Tina's. She's basically giving us free reign for the week. I have to babysit you, after all." Tonya smiled teasingly. Leah, however, furrowed her brow, filling Tonya with concern.
