"Well, Hailey, I afraid you're going to need a change or else that diaper will leak." The man responded. Leah felt her blood freeze as she trained her eyes down. She couldn't see her diaper, but could tell it was wet. She never noticed, as she wasn't used to wearing a swim diaper, and the wet feeling felt natural (if she ignored the fact that it was dry earlier). It wasn't too wet to need a change, and she briefly wondered how Tom even knew she had an accident until her hand landed on her butt and squished. She cringed, embarrassed by the fact that she was so caught up in having fun she didn't even notice she messed herself. Uncle Tom chuckled at her embarrassed reaction, patting her on the head.
"It's okay, those diapers are there for a reason. Come on, let's get you cleaned up." He carried her to a family restroom with diaper bag in tow, letting Leah sit uncomfortably in the crook of his arm. She had only wanted to present herself like a toddler, not actually ACT like one; was her potty training really starting to dwindle? She really allowed herself to get too distracted to even know she had an accident.
Leah was also a little concerned about her overall experience, because besides this she was having a blast. All the frustrations she had earlier felt like they vanished in all the fun. Leah thinks back on all the things she'd usually do at the pool: swim around, maybe do some leisurely laps, but usually she never felt comfortable in a swimsuit out in public (thus her excitement at wearing one she liked); she usually tried to avoid the more kiddy things given she's usually mistaken for a child. She now regrets that, as none of her previous experiences compared to the fun she had, even with an adult. Maybe it's just recency bias, as she never actually gave herself a chance to have fun at the pool before, but it made her think her tastes were a bit more juvenile than she wanted. It was slides, though, which were fun for everyone, even with riding down with an adult; surely she wouldn't think playing in the kiddy pool was just as fun, right?
She gave a cursory glance towards the tiny pool as Tom entered the bathroom, curiosity suddenly spiking. There's no way she'd actually be interested in playing there, right? She's still a teen, diapers don't suddenly make her an actual toddler. Yet she couldn't help but wonder if she WOULD have fun despite her hesitance. Besides, she probably wouldn't get much freedom outside of the kiddy pool, so she might as well take what she can get.
Tom expertly changed her diaper, Leah stuck in her thoughts. Should she suggest it? Or maybe ask Tom to allow her to try some of the other, more adult things she usually did at pools? Maybe even try to convince him to let her go down the big slide? That thought brought a great amount of excitement to her.
"There, all clean."
Leah was surprised, lost in her thoughts so long she didn't even notice the change was over. Was she getting used to this? Tom gave her a cheery smile as he reached down and gently plucked Leah's thumb out of her- was she sucking her thumb? She didn't even notice it.
"Try to use your pacifier. Your body will already be getting pruney." He said as he plopped her little pacifier into her mouth. She was about to spit it out with indignity, but stopped as she realized silly it would look. She continued to suck with a blush, reluctantly accepting the new behavior if for no other reason than appearance.
"So, what do you want to do now?" Uncle Tom asked. Leah, a little flustered at sucking a pacifier willingly, went through her previous thoughts and decided on....
