“Let’s do the “spin the bottle” game,” Arthur says.
“Who else is for spin the bottle,” Rick asks, “I vote for it, that only leaves Kyle, Finn and Kevin”.
“I vote for it,” Kevin says.
“Well, I guess that’s settled, spin the bottle it is,” Finn says.
“I’m honestly curious,” Kyle says, “and it does sound like fun!”
Rick smiles, “alright, first I’ll need to scan all of you,” he says, “the app has a games option, once all are scanned, I’ll link our files to the spin the bottle game in the app”.
“Okay, but how will it work,” Arthur asks, “do we spin a bottle?”
“No, we’ll sit in a circle and I’ll set my phone in the center,” Rick says, “the app will show a digital bottle which will spin, it will then point to a person, the app will then ask “truth or dare”, the person selected then either says, “truth” or “dare” out loud and the app will then either ask a question which the selected person has to answer truthfully or it’ll give the selected person a dare to complete”.
“Sounds easy enough,” the others say.
“And if the selected person either refuses to do a dare or speak a lie, a part of his body will change and no one knows what the transformation is, correct,” Kevin asks.
“Yep, and when the game ends, whoever got transformed either partially or complete, he’ll be reverted back to normal,” Rick concludes.
“It really sound like a fun game,” Kyle says, “plus, we could also try to guess what the selected person is becoming!”
“That is the most fun part,” Rick says, “so, ready to do this?”
“Sure,” the others say.
“But we should make sure the program doesn’t mess with our minds,” Kyle says, “you know, I don’t want to suddenly think I’m some kind of animal and don’t recognize you… if you get what I mean!”
Rick nods, “don’t worry, I thought of that,” he says, “I’ll set the app so it’ll leave our minds alone, or at least won’t change them dramatically. You know, have it change our minds, but just so much that we still know who we are, what we are and not be controlled by the fake mind”.
“I dunno, I’d rather not have my mind altered in any way,” Finn says.
“It’ll be fine,” Rick says, “it may even be fun having our minds tweaked a little, I can set the mental change to off, mild and full, mild being that the human mind will still be the dominant one”.
The others look at each other, then they all shake their heads, “please, leave the mental thing turned off,” they all say.
“Okay, fine, no mental alteration,” Rick says, sounding disappointed, ‘there are such scaredy-cats,’ he thinks to himself, ‘but… I guess they have a good point, better be safe than sorry. It would be so much fun though… besides… they don’t need to know, I’ll just set the mental changes to be mild,’ he then looks at the others, “so, you ready?”
“Yeah,” the others say.
Rick nods, after everyone is scanned, the teen begins setting up the rules of the “game”:
- mild mental alteration
- random transformation
- animal instincts
- revert to normal at the end of the game
After everything is set, Rick lies his phone in the center of the circle and presses on the start button, the digital bottle begins to spin, slowing down, until it comes to a stop, pointing directly at… .
