On the next day Jeff went to the school like it was a normal day. Still able to detach his own head. Acting normal in front of others students even while he knew what he was capable of. The day was dull but he knew that if he showed the whole class his new skill. It was going to get messy for sure. He really wished to see what would happen if he tried his new power on someone else but there was too many people surrounding him. During the recess Jeff asked his best friend Mike to meet him at the his home after school.
As the clock hit 4pm he arrived. Jeff's mother greeted Mike and let him inside the house. Jeff came downstairs to say hi to him as his sister was talking with dad in the kitchen. Jeff asked if Mike would come to his room and they closed the door to get some privacy.
"So, big news. I have power to take off heads." Jeff boldly declared to Mike.
"You can? How?" Mike asked.
Not even replying back. Jeff detached his head and lifted his hands to show what he was able to do.
"Wow! That's sick!" Mike cheered. "But does it hurt when your head hits the floor?"
"Now that you mention it. I think I should make some changes where the head doesn't crack like an egg if you accidentally drop it. Good thinking." Jeff said as he snapped his head back on to his body. Immediately making sure with chronivac that the detached head is near indestructible and invincible once it's without it's body.
"Got any more ideas I should add?" Jeff asked from his friend who was side eyeing the computer.
"How about breathing? Like what if you accidentally drop yourself inside a bathtub?" Mike asked. "And how about adding a safety features like a small 'ping' where your body knows where your head is at any given time?"
"Good ideas. Let me add them to the list." Jeff said and begun typing. "I add more if and when we come up with them but for now let me just test this thing out before we move on."
Jeff approached Mike and asked if he wanted to experience what he had yesterday. Mike nodded his head and just like that his head was separated from his body.
"Dude. This feels amazing." Mike laughed and started to juggle his head.
Jeff took his own head and placed it on the bed asking Mike to do the same. Jeff showed the "eye closing" -trick that he had learned yesterday as their body could sense the environment like as if they still had their head attached.
"This is so cool. But I think it's better if I put my head back where it belongs. It feels weird not to be able to turn head and only move eyes to see." Mike said and lifted the head.
But something unexpected happened. His head wasn't attaching back to his body as it fell to floor.
"Cheff... Shomthings whrong." Mike's head said while being nose first pushed on the floor. "I chan't phut ith bwack."
"Wait a minute? You can't? Let me see." Jeff said but somehow was moving his friend's body as it kicked Mike's head under the bed.
"JEFF!" Mike's head shouted as Mike's body put Jeff's head on it's place and was now linked with his friend's body.
Jeff was amazed how it felt. He was able to move Mike's hands and legs and picked up his friend's head off the floor and put it on top of the bed. Mike thought it looked freaky when Jeff's head talked to him while attached to Mike's body while at the same time Jeff's headless body was standing next to it.
"Sorry. Didn't know this would happen." Jeff said as he put Mike's head to face him.
"Jeff! Put me back. Everything feels weird like I can sense my body moving on it's own like a puppet while you are on it." Mike yelled.
"Huh? You mean that you can feel this?" Jeff asked while scratching Mike's palm with the other hand.
"YES! I can! Don't you!?" Mike loudly proclaimed.
"Yeah. I can... That gives me an idea." Jeff said and watched as his Jeff's own body sat on computer chair. "Okay. Here's the deal. I think I can control both bodies while I'm like this."
Mike's head was quickly lifted by Jeff's body from the bed and attached the head piece with it's body.
"Wow and I can reattach you to my body by just a thought." Jeff chuckled as Mike was able to move Jeff's limbs as if they were his own but felt a weird urge to stop. It seemed that Jeff still maintained full control of his own body even if Mike was riding it. As Jeff closed his eyes he was able to perceive what ever Mike saw. Jeff begun to maniacally laugh as he thought about the possibilities.
