"Now before we move on I came up with a new cool skill we should have." Jeff grinned.
He pushed Mike away from the computer and begun to type changes in the chronivac. "Now give me a solid hand shake."
Mike didn't understand what was going to happen but did what Jeff told him to do. In a small instance from Jeff's body he could feel a very small electrical buzz hitting his own body's palm. Jeff lifted Mike's hand and showed a small skull tattoo now imprinted in it. Jeff explained that now Mike was able to request remotely if he wanted to use Jeff's dullahan powers. Before demonstration they swapped their heads back on their own shoulders.
"Okay, so." Jeff begun while having his own head back in own body. "As you can see. I don't have the skull on my palm but as I do this."
Jeff put his hand over her mouth and somehow Mike was able to hear Jeff's whispers echoing in his head, "Testing, testing. Lift two fingers if you can hear me loud and clear."
Mike did just exactly what he was hearing inside his head and heard Jeff cheering quietly. He asked from Mike to test the ping feature he added. Mike tried to wobble his arm and asked in his mind if he could use the powers for the day. But nothing happened. Jeff and Mike were confused why it didn't work and as Jeff pressed the skull tattoo on Mike's palm. Jeff was able to hear Mike's "request" inside his own mind like as if Mike was contacting him with a walkie-talkie. It sounds like a bell, but without a sound. Jeff explained to Mike that he needed to press the skull in order to make a request. He was sure that he could grant the powers whenever he felt like it. Then as Jeff waved his hand the skull turned matte red color from the typical black tattoo ink color and Mike felt something unlocking inside his brain. Then in the same moment the red skull turned into a regular tattoo ink skull as Jeff waved his hand again.
"So it's like a mental light switch with a hand movement. Neat." Jeff said out loud.
Mike wanted to test the walkie-talkie feature himself and asked Jeff what he wanted to do with the powers by raising his hand near his mouth. Jeff replied back by saying that they should test these powers after they've gotten themselves some protection. Jeff explained that they should spent this week laying low as he was about to order some tools from online which could take from week to month.
"Couldn't you jusy spawn them by using the chronivac?" Mike asked by whispering to his arm.
Jeff went silent and felt quite stupid for not coming up with that kind of idea himself. But he explained to Mike that relying too much on the machine would make them too dependent on it. Meaning instead of physically ordering the stuff they would have to modify already existing items which could change reality in someway and if they weren't careful the computer could turn on them at any moment. Jeff explained that Mike's idea was great but they should only use the computer when they needed something otherwordly. He wanted to have some limitations and feel the thrill by using his imagination in creative ways. Mike nodded his head but silently didn't agree with Jeff's explanation. He was it stupid that Jeff wanted to wait and wait when they could have just used the PC to summon whatever they wanted.
Mike received a text from his mother and excused himself as two hours had already passed. Jeff said that they would talk in detail tomorrow and sat back on his computer chair. Jeff intentionally forgot to tell Mike that he wasn't able to use his powers on him unless Jeff wanted to do so. Meaning if at any point Mike got the upper hand Jeff would still have an ace up in his sleeve. He could also manually mute Mike's telepathic voice at his end but force Jeff's own voice to be heard.
