What Tina see is more fitting for a nursery than a teenager's bedroom. Leah is currently standing in the corner of the room, squatting, her face beet red. Tina clears her throat. Leah looks over.
"Oh, hi Tina," Leah says between grunts. She bends into a deeper squat. "Sorry, I woke up with a wet diaper and could tell I needed to poop, so I figured I'd just go now. No sense wasting the diaper, right?"
"But you didn't waste it, you used it," Tina says slowly. Leah shrugs. Tina frowns as the room slowly fills with the smell of the load being pushed into Leah's diaper. This, combined with Leah's logic behind refusing to learn to change herself, is not good news. If Leah decides to stay reliant on others for changes, she won't work on her independence. And if she decides to use diapers if they're already dirty, she won't make much improvement in potty training, if any. She might even get worse, using them on purpose for convenience.
"All right, I'm done," Leah says as she straightens. She waddles over to Tina, her diaper visibly sagging. "I'm ready for my change."
"Okay." Tina decides to assume that this weird thought process of Leah's is just her half-awake mind. After all, Leah is visibly tired.
Once Leah is changed, she goes back to bed. Tina goes to bed as well, setting an alarm for the morning. Hopefully when she's fully awake, Leah won't use diapers on purpose just because she accidentally used them already. In the morning, Leah...
