"Don't you think it's weird that I'm in diapers?" Leah asks as she climbs down from the crib. Tina frowns at her.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, most of my classmates don't need them. Don't you think I shouldn't, either?"
"Oh, I see what this is about," Tina says with a soft laugh. Leah feels some hope rising in her chest. "The legislation passed so recently, you still feel weird about it. You shouldn't! In fact, no one short enough to be diapered should!"
The static feeling returns. When it fades, Leah...doesn't care that she's diapered? She still doesn't like being fully babied, but now using diapers feels as normal as walking down the street.
That's not the outcome she was hoping for, but given that it makes her life way easier, she's fine with it.
Tina chats a bit with Leah as Leah changes her diaper and then puts on her high school uniform, which now has a diaper cover that matches her skirt. With her new perspective on diapers, Leah actually finds it kind of cute!
Leah follows Tina downstairs, where she sees another babyish change that happened while she was sleeping...
