Reaching the Vertex of his journey he grabbed hold of the door in front of him. Before he turned the door knob something within him hesitated for a moment. IT was a moment that was not spent vainly. Just before Alex turned the handle an explosion rocked the farside of the door and launched shrapnel into wooden form of the door. Both he and it were thrown back down a few flights of stairs coming to rest on one of the landings on the way down. "WHAT THE HELL!" Alex yelled in fury and frustration. THe yelling however served as a deadly reminder to the creature which had set off the bomb. Albeit barely Alex could see a creature crawling along the ceiling and then the wall as it closed in on him with great speed. just before it got to him it seemed to take oon a humanoid shape, a gaunt balding man with bloodshot eyes and large canine teeth.
"You should go back to your cell" said the gaunt figure.
"who are you supposed to be? count choculata? I dont think Ive eaten that in years so your obviously in the wrong dream." Alex said still mildly believing that this was nothing but a bad trip.
"No, I am but a humble jailor sent to keep the more wild ones in their cells, please do not make me get violent..." The gaunt man edged his way closer and closer to ALex until he was well within arms reach. "Go back NOW." he emphasized the now part did so by lunging forward at ALex and biting him in the shoulder.
The mans features contorted with ferocity while Alex's controted with pain. Alex could feel the teeth lascerate their way into his shoulder and felt his whole arm go numb. That left the arm with the gauntlet totally useless, and Alex completely open for more of an assult. The Vampire slashed Alex's chest with his own clawed arm and threw him down the stairs. "hm you were weaker then I thought you were. maybe that was as useless as I told him he was..." the vampire was gloating. Alex hates it when they gloat, but Alex could hardly move.
Lying on the floor alex couldnt see more then 10 feet and the man who attacked him threw him pretty far. Trying to focus he grabbed his chest wound and struggled to his feet. he had to get out of this hell whole. It didnt feel like a dream any more. IT was real and there was no way he was dying here. Before he could get far though a strong hand pulled him to the ground from behind and began to drag him down the stairs. "Hmph I thought I would have to kill you, but apperntly not. You were a pushover afterall" As the vampire drug Alex down the mildewed ground He felt something strange begin to happen. A long leather thing began grow from the base of his spine. He watched as it got longer and longer until finnally they arrived at his cell and the vampire dropped him.
"Well here you are home sweet..HUH?.." What he noticed was Alex's 15' long prehensile tail holding a torch. A torch tha was quickly shoved into the vampire with enough force to pentrate through to his back. The body quickly burned, however Again that urge came to Alex to eat part of his cancered victim. Grabbing one of the roasted arms ALex took a big bite and tasted the vampires charred flesh. Crunchy.
"hmm needs garlic" Alex said as he turned around he saw that more of these vampires were pouring in through the entrence. THey had swarmed the walls. Clinging to all the surface and staying at the edge of his torchlight. With careful observation he notcied it was the last one lit. "Well. IT seems you have me at a disadvantage" THe gauntlet again came to the rescue.
The tail, acting on its own, threw the torch up in the air. His clawed arm, recovered from its previous injury threw itself up and seemed to eject a large stream of some strange liquid. IT hit everything and the moment it his the torch everything burned.
As Alex walked down the hallway, ashes of the vampires landing on his skin, he tstuck out his tounge and cought some on his tounge like pitch snowflakes. "hmm does need garlic. hehe..."
