Jean took a second for answering. "I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about, Ms. Cooper," she said with a straight face.
"You see," the young redhead across from her stated, "now that was a lie. Now, you'll have to be punished." The woman raised up her right hand, and Jean saw a
beautiful gold ring with rubies imbedded in it on her finger. "You treat people like lab mice, Dr. Mettler. Perhaps it's time you knew the feeling."
"Now, Ms. Cooper," Jean started to say, "let's not..." She stopped as the rubies in the ring began to glow. "What the hell?" she managed to say before she felt a
sharp pain in her abdoman, causing her to bend over and grabbed her stomach.
The redhead across the desk smiled as she watched the other woman start to grow smaller, shrinking into her blouse. White fur could be seen growing out of the
doctor's face before she disappeared completely into her clothes. Soon, all that was left of her was an empty-looking dress suit in her chair.
Anna got up from her own chair and walked around the desk. With a nod, she reached into the open collar of the blouse and pulled the little white mouse out,
holding it up by its tail. "You see now, don't you, Doctor?" she said. "Lying to me is a mistake." She sat the mouse down on the desk, before returning to her chair.
"I know that Datacomp wants the land my family's estate sits on, Doctor," she continued. "And I know that you've worked for them in the past. How many people
have you had committed that shouldn't have been, Dr. Mettler? Well, Datacomp picked the wrong lady to mess with this time. Wouldn't you agree?"
