"Oh thank god, you're aware of the changes too!" Tonya whispered. Leah looked up at her in surprise.
"You can tell?"
"Yeah. Since yesterday, it's been weird as hell. I guess I should count myself lucky I haven't been impacted by the changes as much as you."
"I've been calling them warps. Like reality warps?"
"Ooh, that's a good one." Tonya pushed the stroller up to the car and opened the door. Waiting for Leah was a rear-facing car seat. "I'll call them that now, too."
Leah felt a bit proud to have her terminology be the preferred one. Tonya lifted her from the stroller and buckled her into the car seat. She then went to put the stroller in the trunk.
"So do you know if anyone else is aware of the warps?" Leah asked once Tonya got in the driver's seat. Tonya sighed.
"I think my little brother is, but he's so young that it's difficult to communicate something complex like this."
"Maybe only minors are aware," Leah suggested. Tonya shrugged. She turned on the car.
"We'll just have to find out at school." She backed out of the driveway. "Uh-oh, smells like you're taking advantage of the warps," Tonya said in a sing-song voice. Leah let out an abashed giggle that turned into a grunt as she began the process of her morning poop.
By the time they got to the high school, Leah was finished, her diaper in desperate need of a change. Tonya got her out, put her back in the stroller, and hurried inside to change Leah before the bell rang.
Leah looked around curiously, noticing a few other stroller students being pushed around, and wondered if they were aware that they hadn't been like this the day before.
