"The Lion King," Stacey suggested. To her delight, Mikey actually clapped his hands in excitement. Jim pulled out his phone and opened the movie. Mikey snuggled up in Jim's arms and sucked happily on his pacifier as he watched the movie. Before long, he was fast asleep.
"You know, he's the perfect age for us to give him a little brother or sister," Stacey whispered as Jim turned off the movie and then the light. Jim smiled.
"You're right about that. But let's hold off on making him a big brother until we get his nursery ready."
"We can get some things for him after church tomorrow."
"Perfect." Jim leaned over Mikey to kiss Stacey. "Good night."
"Good night," Stacey replied. The small, new family happily drifted off to sleep together.

Mikey woke up to a nipple being carefully slid into his mouth. He instinctively latched on and began to suck. As he drank his new mommy's milk, he slowly woke up more. Like at the mall the day before, he was under a nursing blanket, so they were presumably out in public. But beyond that, he had no idea where they were.
He didn't mind, though. It was freeing to not worry about what he was doing or where he was going. He didn't have any responsibilities except for drinking Stacey's milk, sleeping, and going poopie in his diaper. Speaking of...
Mikey began to grunt quietly. He barely noticed he was pooping himself. In fact, he barely noticed he was nursing like a baby. At this point, it all seemed so normal to him, his mind could wander. And it did.
He began to think about why this had happened to him. Maybe this was a gift from the universe. After all, he was an orphan, with no biological relatives that cared about him. The foster family that raised him kicked him out once he was a legal adult. He didn't even have any friends beyond Jim and Stacey, now his daddy and mommy. This was a fresh start for him. Now, he could live life in an enjoyable way.
Mikey finished pooping, then peed. By the time he was done using his diaper, Stacey had switched him to her other breast. He guzzled down her milk hungrily. Before long, his tummy was full.
"It smells like he might need a chance," he heard Jim whisper.
"Yes, he does. He went while he was on my lap."
"Want me to change him while you get dressed?"
"That would be perfect, thanks."
