What? Someone’s water had broken? *His* water had broken?
The opioid fog meant that Steve’s mind was having difficulty processing what he was reading. Lowering a hand down to his crotch, Steve pressed his fingers against the thin elastic of his yoga pants. The pants themselves were soaked in water, and as Steve lowered his hand to the floor, he felt a small pool of fluid that had formed between his thighs.
Was he…?
The world swirled around Steve as his body was enveloped with the same warm, tingly feeling from before. He was so tired and nothing that was happening made any sense. He needed to figure it out, but his exhausted brain just didn’t have the energy to do it. Steve felt his eyes closing as the feeling of dampness in his crotch seemed to fade away…
****************************
“Unnff…” Steve moaned in an increasingly familiar sounding feminine voice. An intense tightness was rippling through his stomach along with a dull, burning pain in his lower back. He felt muscles pulling against his thighs and tried curling his legs up into a fetal position, but that only partially relieved the pressure in Steve’s abdomen.
“How long was I out?” Steve asked himself as light slowly filtered in through his half-opened eyes. He remembered dozing off and then… this tightness and pressure had filled his stomach and brought him back.
He tried rolling from side to side to get more comfortable, but nothing seemed to help with whatever was going on in his stomach. Confused, he brought his phone back into view and stared at the sentence he’d previously generated:
“The high anthropomorphic rabbit’s water just broke.”
He knew that sentence was about him, but in his current state it wasn’t enough for him to be able to figure out what was going on. The tightness in his belly continued and, in a brief moment of lucidity, Steve noticed the word “high”. As much as he couldn’t figure out what was going on, he knew that being wacked out on OxyContin wasn’t improving the situation. Steve changed the word “high” to “sober” and hit enter.
Energy flooded into Steve’s body as his tired, opioid filled muscles cleared themselves of the drugs in his system. The world came into sudden focus, Steve’s mind sharpened, and pain exploded out of his stomach.
Every muscle and fiber in Steve’s abdomen was straining against themselves as they clenched down on the massive thing that currently occupied Steve’s belly. Those muscles weren’t just straining in isolation – they were all attached the bones in Steve’s abdominal area, so as they pulled, Steve felt his chest being pulled forward while his legs were pulled up.
“Ahhhh!” Steve cried out in pain. It didn’t stop, and the burning pain continued its relentless march through Steve’s body.
“Please… Please stop!” But it didn’t stop. As much as Steve might have wanted it to, and as much as he may have begged, he simply had no control over his own body. It was like he was being electrocuted and his muscles were painfully ripping themselves apart despite Steve’s effort to make them stop.
“Please!” he screamed, “please help!”
Steve’s hands clasped his stomach as he curled into a ball, but no help came. Despite the pain, Steve realized that was actually for the best – this bathroom was isolated from the rest of the mall and the last thing that Steve wanted right now was for someone else to discover him.
Steve just sat there panting as the painful spasms wracked his body when suddenly, as though a switch was flipped, his muscles relaxed and the pain vanished.
