The Sapphirus Kingdom was a great kingdom, but it was just one of four kingdoms on the continent of Duskhaven. The Sapphirus royal line is one of three that trace themselves back to the heroes that aided the benevolent demon queen Eda to save the world from a cabal of xenophobic elves and angels from the continent of Illuminala seeking to exterminate all other species on the planet, starting with the Duskhaven continent. Those heroes, Talia the Blue, Pytr the Red, and Haruka the Green, fought alongside Eda against the forces of Illuminala and stopped their plans to ethnically cleanse their realm of anything that wasn't elves or angels. For their valor, Eda blessed her friends with sigils that would prove their bloodlines forevermore; marks based on the sex of the bearer and cannot be forged or counterfeited by magic, and from the war-torn ashes help them set up three equal nations surrounding Eda's realm of Platina - the Sapphirus kingdom, in the southwest region of the continent, founded by Talia, the first queen of Sapphirus, the Rubiss kingdom, in the northern portion of the continent, founded by Pytr, the first king of Rubiss, and the Emerada kingdom, in the southeastern portion of Duskhaven, established by Haruka, Emerada's first empress.
For ages, the three kingdoms lived in peace with each other and the demon nation of Platina in the center of Duskhaven, until recently, as tensions have increased following a few seasons of bad harvests across the continent leading to trade disputes among Sapphirus, Rubiss, and Emerada. Most believe the poor harvests just a series of misfortunes, but some intellectuals from all four kingdoms have a theory these "misfortunes" may not be bad luck but deliberate acts of sabotage, with some thinking one of the other nations are behind this, and some, namely Eda's descendent, the rarely seen and bashfully shy holy succubus Rita Platinus, current queen of Platina, worried this may be the lead-up to something from Illuminala once more, threatening to put the whole continent at danger again.
What does this all have to do with our prince-turned-centaur mare? In a way, everything and nothing, as Damon was too young to be a player in the continent's political intrigue, but someone wanted to remove the only heir to the Sapphirus line, hiring the very powerful & talented yet ditzy & incompetent Ristania to deal with the prince discreetly, and she would have succeeded if not for her own clumsiness, a peasant's errant littering, and hubris leading her to not bother learning the counterspells to her own hexes. Because of this, she ended up making up most of the equine lower portion of the prince's new form, and her biomass was responsible for Damon switching sexes and sharing features with her now, like her big bustline, small waist, and long blue hair, the blue making up 70% of her new hair (the other 30% retaining her original rusty auburn tones in her hair and new tail). Damon and Ristania are merged together, but Damon is the one basically calling the shots, Ristania's consciousness largely a passenger in their merged forms.

Damon was padding about next to the stream, waiting there as Garreth told her, worried how her parents would treat her. All she had to talk to was Sebastian.
"Oh, Sebastian, I worry my parents will be ever so vexed by this. They told me to always stay around my royal entourage, but I always felt so confined by Garreth and his unit always mollycoddling me, which is why I like to sneak away from them at times; to see the kingdom without the guard trying to overprotect me or the peasantry getting worked up because I'm a royal......" Damon then sighed, ".....but look at where THAT got me. Just wanting to go on one ride without the entourage following my every move, and I get ambushed by the most bumbling sorceress assassin ever." Sebastian, being a horse, wasn't really listening, and walked away a couple of meters to chew on some grass in the forest floor.
Inside of Damon, she could faintly hear the whiny high-pitched voice of her assailant Ristania inside of her, "Hey!! Take that back!! I'm not a bumbling buffoon!! I'm a great witch!! Apologize!! If you don't, I'll... I'll... I'll um... SWISH YOUR TAIL REALLY HARD!!" Damon could tell Ristania's spirit was largely confined near her backside, noticing she really didn't have any control of her tail or groin or anus but could still feel them, Ristania apparently having control of her backside, and working their rear legs seemed to be a team effort between the two. Damon suddenly felt her tail swishing vigorously as if she were a dog. The fact she had four legs tipped in hooves, a tail, and an extra set of organs in her lower half was still sensations Damon was getting used to as she slowly walked in circles, stumbling at times thanks to the issue of having to work in tandem with Ristania to work her back legs.
"Could you cut that out. It's annoying." Damon grumbles aloud, though it was clearly directed towards Ristania in her head.
"No." Ristania pouts.
"You're the adult here, but yet I'm the mature one here." Damon crosses her arms under her massive bosom, only kept decent by some of Ristania and Damon's tattered clothes Damon fashioned into a makeshift tube top.
"How dare you?!" Ristania complains, wanting to gesture like she was sticking her tongue out, but thanks to being merged with Damon and as a result being essentially a horse's ass, her reflex actually triggered Damon's new mare vagina to wink instead.
Suddenly, Damon heard a rustling nearby, her new horse ears poking from her long blue hair more sensitive and able to swivel to pick up sounds better. "Quiet. You hear that?"
"Yeah..." Ristania's voice echoed inside of Damon.
Damon looked around to see what was coming...
