Mike continued to admire his transformed self in the mirror, turning slightly to get a better view of his banded tail which swayed with a newfound life of its own. Jeff, standing beside him, couldn't help but grin at the sight.
"Well, Dad," Jeff remarked with a chuckle, "you definitely won't fit into your regular clothes anymore."
Mike nodded in agreement, glancing at the pile of clothes he'd left behind. "No kidding. I didn’t think that far ahead," he admitted with a laugh. His curiosity piqued again as he considered their options. "Hey, do you think this Chronivac could do something about that?"
His question prompted them back to the computer where Mike’s tail flicked animatedly behind him as he maneuvered around the chair and sat down gingerly.
Jeff leaned over his shoulder as they navigated through the advanced settings on Chronivac’s interface—its digital landscape filled with intriguing options and sliders ripe for exploration.
"Look at this," Jeff pointed out, highlighting one category labeled 'Appearance Enhancements'. Within it were subcategories ranging from ‘Functional Adjustments’ to ‘Cosmetic Variations’.
One option caught their attention first: ‘Integrated Clothing’. Mike clicked on it curiously. Though unclear from name alone exactly how it would work, its description hinted at merging attire seamlessly into one’s transformed form—almost like natural fashion rather than donned fabric.
"There are also these 'were' things…" Jeff noticed under another subcategory titled 'Transformation Flexibility'. The slider was split between values marked simply as: ‘Static’, ‘Partial’, and ‘Dynamic’.
“Do you think that means you can change between forms?” Jeff mused aloud while scanning further—to which Mike shrugged amusedly but interested all-the-same by possibility suggested here-if cryptically so right now still...
Further exploration revealed preset combination packages labeled ambiguously under headings such as “Urban Explorer”, “Nature Guide”, “Industrial Worker”—each classified either under broader categories like 'Clothes', latched onto potential occupations—and sometimes carrying suffixes referencing those mysterious Were-settings too?
“I’m not sure what all this means,” Mike admitted openly after perusing menu display further without conclusive answer yet-however thrilling potential seemed regardless!
"Neither do I," agreed Jeff enthusiastically nonetheless...
"But if we're gonna figure out how these different setups work—it'll be one wild trial run testing each!"
