Jess shrugged her chubby shoulders, “I need to sit down. Maybe we can catch a movie? And popcorn. And hot dogs.”
“Ewww… hot dogs?” Mary gagged. “Jess… they make hot dogs out of what we are now.”
Jess wrinkled her snout. “Good point. Candy and popcorn, it is.”
They waddled through the mall to the Cineplex. The attendant stared at them dumbly until they asked him for tickets a fourth time. He nodded and handed them their stubs. People cleared out of the way when they went to the concession stand, yelping in shock and horror.
That is except for one blonde guy. He was moderately handsome and dressed casually in jeans and a dress shirt. He stared at them over his wire-rim glasses, speechless. Mary snorted when he didn’t get out of the way. “Move it, buddy.”
“Sorry, miss,” he said, stepping back. But he didn’t run.
Jess regarded him down her snout. “Is there a problem?”
He shook his head. “No. I’ve just never seen two girls so…”
Mary sighed, “Fat?” Jess snipped, “Ugly?”
“No. Beautiful. So amazingly beautiful.” And when he said it, the guy really meant it. It wasn’t fear in his eyes, but desire.
He gulped shyly. “Do you girls need some company?”
