June was sitting at the kitchen table, relaxing a bit, when Mark walked in. "Hi, honey," he said, "is everything OK?" She was startled by his concern for a moment, then realized that he was basically asking whether there had been any issues around Ty.
"Everything's fine, dear," she said. "Ty brought in the groceries for me, set the table, and he's already done his homework."
"Sounds like he must be happy. If things continue to go that smoothly, maybe we don't have to worry so much."
"I hope so," June said. "I made it through my work day without worrying too much, and was pleased to get home and not find any problems."
"I was too busy at work to think about it a lot. I was a bit worried about the consequences if Dustin any Ty got into it, as they often do."
"As far as I can tell, they seem to be getting along fine today," June said.
The doorbell rang, and June told Mark, "That's probably Lisa. Do you think we can pull off seeming like just one big happy family for a few hours?"
"All we can do is try," replied Mark, as they headed to the front door.
