"It's not necessary, madame. I know what I want." Stan said with a confident grin on him. "It's quite simple, actually. We're twins because we're the same age. So, we just need to change that and problem solved!" He puts his hands on his waist proudly of his cleverness. Madame Illusia didn't say anything, she just smiled. Actually, she didn't like to be interrupted like that but she had her own way to deal with brats like this kid.
"Pretty well." She replied. "How much years do you want on your age gap with your brother?" She asked with a little sinister glow in her eyes. "Since we're twelve, what about 12 years? So, I could be 18, legally an adult." Stan said as he already imagined his life as a grownup. "B-but, Stan... That will make me six! I'm going to be so small! I don't wanna be a little kid!!" Dan complained but Stan didn't bother to answer or even look at his twin brother.
"Don't worry, Dan." Madame Illusia interfered. "I agree to swap your ages, but I didn't say who is going to be the big brother, did I?" She laughed a little before she started an incantation. Purple smoke surrounded the stage and before he can protest, a cloud covered Stan completely. People can't see him, except for his silhouette and his useless attempts to stop his inevitable fate. "No!!! I don't want to be a little kid!!! Noooo!!!"
Inside the cloud, Stan was losing height, his arms and legs were getting shorter at the same time his hands and feet were getting smaller. His nice fitting clothes were getting too big in so little time that his pants fell to the ground and he tripped with his now oversized shoes. He can feel some baby fat materializing in him while several of his teeth returned inside his jaw. His juvenile screams now sounded like a child's tantrum instead.
When the transformation was over, the purple smoke turned green and it compressed itself in a ball that madame Illusia held with a hand. "Inside this ball are six years of Stan's life. Every experience, body change and knowledge he got through those years are now in my possession and soon they are going to be inside his brother, Dan." She told her audience while she showed off the glowing green orb on her hand.
However, many of them, including Dan himself, were more interested in what happened to Stan. The former preteen boy was now a little kid with oversized clothes on him and crying on the ground. The cockiness and confidence that Stan irradiated a moment ago had vanished completely and now he was an insecure and fragile boy that could pass as a baby to some people's eyes. Even Dan felt bad for him despite of Stan's original intentions.
"Are you ready, kid?" Madame Illusia told Dan, she was completely ignoring the crybaby next to them. "This ball is going to pop at any moment and you wouldn't want to waste your brother's sacrifice, won't you?" She was right, the green orb seemed so fragile like if it was made of thin glass and it was shaking like a vibrator on turbo. "Hold on a second. Can't you give it back to Stan? I don't want to be older and I can't bear watching him like that."
"You're a good brother, not like that one." Madame Illusia replied. "Unfortunately, I can't give him his age back. I can't use magic on the same person twice a day and this orb won't last to tomorrow." She glanced at the orb which seemed it could explode at any moment. "If you don't want it, I can give it to someone else at the crowd. So, what is your choice, Dan?"
