Emily finished washing the dishes and turned around to face the two toddlers, who were standing side by side, looking up at her with big, curious eyes. "Alright, you two! You're all clean and fed. Now it's time to have some fun! You can play and run around the house freely," she announced, smiling.
Jeff and his mother, Janet, looked at each other, unsure of what to do next. They stood there for a moment, then Janet's face lit up with an idea. "Hey, Jeff! Let's play tag!" she exclaimed.
Jeff hesitated for a moment, but Janet's enthusiasm was infectious. "Okay, let's do it!" he agreed. Janet grinned mischievously. "I'll be 'it' first!" she said, and before Jeff could react, she quickly tapped him on the shoulder. "You're it, Jeff!"
Jeff was surprised by his mother's speed and agility. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight of his mother, who was normally a responsible adult, acting so silly.
With a determined look on his face, Jeff took off after his mother, chasing her through the house. Janet squealed with delight, dodging and weaving around furniture as she tried to evade her son.
