Lisa said, "We both think we're the original Lisa. But one of us was originally Ty."
"We have to do something that only Ty has the power to do. Something Ty never did to me. I mean, to us? To Lisa!"
"We could both try to change our hair color. Whichever of us succeeds is really Ty."
"OK, let's do it." They both concentrated, but nothing happened. They looked at each other in disbelief.
"Well, whichever of us is Ty can transform themselves back into Ty. Let's try that." They both concentrated again. Again nothing happened.
"I'm scared. What if we've lost Ty?" Lisa said, on the brink of tears.
"There has to be a way of fixing this!" Lisa said, also distraught. "We're smart, we can figure this out," she said, though not very confidently.
"If we can't, how do we deal with our parents? And Ty's parents?"
"I guess we'd have no choice but to tell them what happened!"
"Oh, god! Telling our parents would be bad enough! I don't think I could face giving the news to Ty's parents!"
"Think! Hard! There has to be a way out of this!"
There was a knock at the bedroom door.
