Erika's stomach reacted to the salve and it began to worry her. She wondered if she had poisoned herself by drinking whatever that was without thinking. She quickly ran to the bathroom fully prepared to vomit if she had to. However, just as quick as the weird feeling had come, it had gone. Everything was seemingly back to normal.
Erika debated telling her mother but decided against it. Suddenly she feels as if mucus has built up in the back of her throat. She turns to the sink and spits. A large loogie shoots out into the sink. Erika gasps, the spittle was stringy and still linked to her mouth by a thin bubbly line. She tries to flick it off but it sticks to her hand and droops under its own weight while still being linked to her mouth.
The smell of it. Like dog slobber. “That salve must've done this,” she thinks.
Her breath becomes more labored. Becoming more huff like. She huffs and puffs but not as if she's looking for the air. It's like that's just how she's always done it. "This is so weird." She says.
