“I want that one!” Emily exclaimed, pointing at a poofy pink princess dress.
And poofy and pink it certainly was. A real old-fashioned pink poofy dress that would have looked perfect on a princess doll. It had layers of soft pink and a little bit of violet upon it. The material was silky with little bows and a tad of lacy fabric. This sort of dress screamed fairy-tale princess straight from a Disney movie. Emily felt a little dubious at first but holding it up, she thought that it might not look that kitsch or corny.
"It is special, but rather dazzling once it is on you," said the woman with a wide smile.
Emily nodded, then without a word she started feeling the fabrics of that dress. It was more elaborate and natural than she had expected for sure.
"Yes... You are right... I'll go try it," Emily mumbled.
With another big smile, the woman showed Emily the changing rooms and the young woman slipped on the new impressive garment. Oh, the woman from the store WAS correct! Emily felt perfectly at at ease in all these layers of soft fabrics. Why, it looked like she was dressed in a wonderful rose flower! The dress hugged the top of her frame - nay, her whole body - perfectly! This dress was flawless!
"Incredible! I really do feel like a princess!" gushed Emily.
"Yes, it was intended for that very purpose," answered the woman through the door. "And it seems you were right for it too!"
And indeed, that was when Emily noticed something quite odd happening to her...
