It was obvious, really. She was on her own. When parents needed to step out of the room for a moment, leaving their babies alone, they left their children in a playpen. And what did the babies do in their playpen? Crawl around, chew on toys, and use their diapers.
Leah set about creating a makeshift playpen for herself. Tina had some random baby gates, so she set those up as the walls of the "playpen". Then she put a blanket down to be soft while she crawled, and grabbed a few things she could chew on. A pacifier, a baby bottle, and a teething ring were all easily located in Tina's room near changing supplies. Leah scattered them on the floor of her "playpen". She walked in, put the gate in place, and got on her hands and knees.
Then, she crawled.
Leah couldn't help but giggle at the absurdity of what she was doing. It was so funny. And...so much fun! She crawled over to the bottle, picked it up, and chewed on the nipple for a bit. It was all right. So was the pacifier, which she actually wound up just sucking for a while. But the teething ring, that was excellent. She chewed on it happily for ages.
When she was finally done with chewing on the teething ring, Leah realized that something was missing from her baby playtime.
