Dan awoke the next day, and cleared his throat. It was pretty wierd waking up as a horse for the first time. He stood upright, and brushed the wet grass off of his white fur coat.
He walked over to the house, but was stopped by the rope he was tied down with. 'Do they really mistrust me this much? I must have been a real pain when I was a human', he thought. Being a horse wasn't actually that bad; if he'd been turned into a 'normal' horse, then he wouldn't have been so comfortable, but being an anthro-horse allowed him to keep his human thoughts, upright posture, and lifespan.
His dad came out soon after. "Mornin', Dan! How are you feeling?" He rubbed Dan's mane, and put some reins and other equipment over Dan's head. He looked up in confusion.
"Sorry, Daniel, but we can't keep you here. You're a horse now; we've told you're school and the doctor. Officialy, our house isn't licensed to hold livestock like yourself." Dan's dad patted him round the neck and led him off to his van. The back had hurredly been filled with straw. Dan was piled into the back, and his mom and sister came out to say goodbye. "I'm... sorry, Dan." Kat said, feeling guilty.
"We'll come and visit you soon!" As his mom said this, the doors were shut, and his dad drove him off down the road.
Dan was upset. Not because he was a horse, but because he was being treated like one. 'They know I'm just a normal guy inside', he thought, 'but I'm being treated like a common animal. I mean, straw?! Does dad think I'm just going to go to the bathroom in his van?... But I'm going to live on a farm. There won't be any toilets there, I suppose.'
The van stopped 10 minutes later. Dan was loaded out. He could smell the stench of the other animals clearly through his muzzle. "This is where we have a problem, Daniel", his dad took out a brush and brushed his mane. "The farmer doesn't know that you are just an anthro-horse. You're going to have to act like a real horse when I try and bargain with him." Dan looked up at him and nodded.
"To start with, get down on all fours." Dan did this with relative ease. His arms weren't really designed for this, but they were strong enough to keep him up.
"Act a bit more 'horsey' as well. You know, just neigh a bit more... and, er... act a bit more confused. You know what I mean- you move around like a guy in a costume, you need to act more like a horse."
They spent 20 or so minutes horseing around (sorry!)and then went off to see the farmer.
