As the days pass, Zack begins to accept his fate, ‘well, after four weeks I’ll be back to normal,’ he thinks to himself, ‘once I’m back to normal, I’ll find a way back home, and I’ll never transform into a car again!’
A week before the auction, the male cop, who’s name is Juan Hernandez, knocks on the door of the chief, “chief, sorry to interrupt, may I talk to you about something?”
The chief looks up when Juan enters, “sure, Juan,” he says, “what can I do for you?”
Juan closes the door, “it’s about that car, the Dodge Charger SXT”.
“What about it,” the chief asks.
“Well, I’d like to take part in the auction and purchase it,” Juan says, “it’s brand new, and I’d love to turn it into my new patrol car”.
“Doesn’t it have that issue with the radio,” the chief asks, “plus, you know you can’t use a private owned car as a patrol car”.
Juan nods, “I know, sir,” he says, “but, my current patrol car has seen better days, and the department has no funds to get new cars. So, I thought maybe you might do an exception and allow me to purchase that car and transform it into my new patrol car. I know someone who can deal with the radio issue”.
The chief thinks for a while, “alright,” he then says, “but only if you drive it while on duty, I don’t want to see you driving it off duty, understood”.
Juan nods, “of course, sir,” he says, “thanks, sir”.
A week later Zack finds himself being sold for 40.000 Dollars to Juan Hernandez, and the next thing he knows Juan has driven to a chop-shop, ‘oh… boy,’ the ten-year-old thinks to himself, ‘I have a bad feeling about this’.
“Rick, so nice to see you, dude,” Juan says as he gets out the car.
“Juan, my friend,” Rick says, “so, that’s the car?”
Juan nods, “yeah,” he says, “how long will it take for you to do what we’ve discussed? I’ve attached the radio back to the system and it seems that it’s working fine now. It hasn’t turned itself on as it did before.”
“Well, at least one issue we don’t need to worry about, and I’d say… no more than a week,” Rick says, “maybe even less”.
Juan nods, “alright,” he says, “call me once it’s done”.
Rick nods, “will do, mate,” he says.
