As it seems that the two girls were going to have a heated argument, a little stream of pee interrupted from the three month old baby in Pauline‘s arms and its unfortunate target; Madison. Little Nate just giggling all the way as he peed, but eventually stop. Madison gave a little frustrated growl while Pauline just smiled.
“Seems like my son had made his opinion known.” Pauline said as she went over to Mr. Cameron’s bags which seem to turn into a small suitcase and a diaper bag.
“He is not your son, Pauline” Madison said as she went over to her bag. Pauline managed to fish out a onesie from the bag and took the diaper bag with her to the bathroom. She made sure to lock the door as she laid a fresh diaper on the counter, then proceeded to place little Nate on there. Pauline smiled that she started to diaper Nate who seems to be calm.
‘He such a calm boy. Unlike his father.’ Pauline thought as she remember her Junior Prom date, Seth Collin the class clown. He seem sweet to her that night but it was all an act. A prank to humiliate her one of the smartest people in their class as a dare to punch her virgin card before her she turn eighteen. It was part of a prank pack he had with his friends to have sex with the smartest girls at their junior proms.
Oh how he laughed when he and his friends say that they weren’t interested in them but thank them for the good time. Well jokes on them because once the girl’s parents found out they file a complaint to the school, and the boys were punished. Seth didn’t mind because he believe he could weather through it but when Pauline said she was pregnant that ruin him. His parents were harsh on him, and as if the pressure wasn’t enough, it caused him to be held back a year due to failing multiple classes.
“You were such a happy accident.” Pauline said as she held Nate up by his armpits in front of her, who giggled happily. As she lowered him so he was cradle into her arms, she look in her reflection in the mirror and froze. Her smiled faltered as she look at herself as if her real self was looking back.
‘What am I thinking…this isn’t right. I’m not his mother and that clown is not his father.’ Pauline thought to herself as if her reflection was saying this back to her. This was her teacher in her arms, a grouchy, strict teacher, but still her teacher. She was too young to be a mother but at the same time, it seems to improved her life. She remember that while her family were supportive but never as supportive as they are now with a ‘grandson’ plus it was making her work extra harder because now she wants to be a responsible parent.
On the other hand, it was costing her friendship with Madison. Both girls were thick as thieves, but now according to Pauline’s new memories they were slowly drifting a part even after Nate was born. It was like the duo was falling apart, in fact according to her new memories she wanted to room with one or two other people but Madison practically ‘claim’ her and her son to room with for this trip. These memories plus her old memories were putting a lot of things in perspective for her friendship with Madison.
‘I need to think about this.’ Pauline thought as she finished dressing Nate in a onesie and got out of the bathroom. She look around and found the baby carrier with a removable seat.
“About time so listen about…what are you doing.” Madison said as she was about to head into the bathroom but stop to take note of Pauline’s action.
“Out to dinner. I need some food.” Pauline said as she strapped Nate in.
“Oh wait a minute and let me change then we go together…” Madison said.
“No!” Interrupted Pauline said as she turned towards her. “Just me and the baby.” Madison looked shocked.
“But…I…wh…” Madison try to come up with a response.
“Look Madison I need time to figure things out.” Pauline said emphasizing the use of Madison‘s real name and not her nickname. She then grabbed one of each key type for the room; regular key, card key, and fob key that strap to her wrist. She then got Nate in his cart and push towards to the door.
“Can I at least join you?” Madison asked.
“Maybe if you find us.” Pauline said as she open the door, left the room with Nate and close the door behind her.
~Five minutes later~
Pauline made it to the restaurant plaza of this wing of the resort and was looking for a restaurant to eat at. She remembered reading the pamphlet that a hand full of restaurants serve regular food. The rest well; half have food that could change your age while the other half changes your age depending on where you were seated and how long you stayed.
Pauline did not want either of those options so she found a restaurant that served normal food.
